She tried to end her life but now it couldn't be any better

A tale of triumph and glory in the second life

Here's Anita living the good life in a recent video she share with her 600k followers on Instagram

It seemed a day like any other, sunny and warm but in the life of a young woman life could not be any worse. The cold hands of hopelesness gripped her neck choking out her will to live. Struggling to pay bills, facing dead end after dead end and battling to feel accepted by an unloving family, that day Anita made the fatal decision to end it all. Desperate to make all the pain go away she reached for her chosen means, a bottle of snipper. Quick, painless and effective. She eagerly waited for the poision to end her suffering. Then she blacked out. She did not know what happened next, did not see how her neighbour, who after finding her, raised an alarm. She did not noticed her limp body being rushed frantically through the streets in search of help. After several attempts to revive her the assembly of concerned neighbours came to a place with a very confident and unusual woman. " So she tried to kill herself?" She asked casually. "All these foolish girls" she murmured under her breath as she reached for the magic powder, also known as charcoal. Following this wise woman's instructions the party of rescuers put the charcoal in the dying woman's mouth and made her swallow. At first there was nothing, no response.

Then ever so slowly, she started to regain her conciousness. Her eyes opened and filled with tears. She had come so close to death and yet she was alive. Blackened with the charcoal residue and darkened with the shame of what she had tried to do, she went back home determined to use her second chance the best way she could. She didn't have the answers. The debts were still there, waiting pateintly for her return. Everything was still pretty much the same except her. Her will to live had returned with a vengeance. She didn't know how but she was determined to make her life count. And that she did. Gradually she started the climb. The climb to a better life, the climb to being happy and embarcing constructive change. She discovered she had a knack for comedy. Just being funny and sharing it became a creative pass time. Bringing laugther to people's lips lifted her spirits. It gave her hope. Somehow connecting with the joy and carefree enjoyment her craft caused made her soul dance.

Gradually she grew more confident. Her hustle made debts easier to pay. She gradually found a bounce in her step that she's had ever since. It's even a thing now. People all over the world attempted to walk with her special bounce very recently in a challnege she started on instagram. Boy, was it hilarious seeing people try to imitate perfection. Anita made a name for herself. She pursued her dream of being a comedian with a fierceness that inspires me so deeply. I met her a few years after she tried to commit suicide and marveled at how far she's come since then. Now, with a following of over 500 thousand on instargarm she is an influencer. Yeah. The one who tried to kill herself influences people. She encourages them with her story. Challenging them that if she could, they can too. She also majors as an MC for occasions bringing joy and adding her magic to weddings, lauches, parties and many more. Not only that, she models for various beauty and lifestyle brands and has become a house hold name in Nigeria. She also has endorsement deals with a bank and a prominent wellness centre in Nigeria. But that's not all, she also acts in movies and dances. Her moves are epic. Beyond all these things she's just an amazing person. Incredibly down to earth and so full of life. Crazy talented and hard working. She inspires me to be creative and daring. To not be afraid to let my inner madness out and to be me unapologetically.
