This study focused solely on the recruitment of college students. Overall, our research shows that performance is associated with procrastination through internal processes of thinking and self-control. To our knowledge, our research also shows that psychological testing affects employees' self-discipline and that higher levels of self-control lead to higher levels of work delay.

An important strength of our research is that his diary research project allows us to explore people’s internal processes that integrate work aspects and reverse work in their daily lives. Because our research focuses on interpersonal processes that link work performance and retrenchment, we have decided to hire staff to do diary research (Ohly et al., 2010; Fisher and To, 2012).

More than 80% of employees and 76% of entrepreneurs were laid off between 1 and 4 hours.
