Life purpose

Who am I? Why am I in this world? What is the reason for this life? What distinguishes me as human from animals? These are some of the questions many will ask themselves at times, but since they cannot find convincing answers, they eventually give up thinking about them and continue to live in the way they are expected to do, paying little or no attention to finding the purpose of their life. To certain people, these questions become so vital that they spend most of their lives in search of finding answers. That search eventually leads them to look within themselves. To be a happy, wholesome and healthy person, your body and soul must work in perfect harmony. This means uniting the body and soul to fulfill the mission for which we were all put on earth: to lead a meaningful, productive, and virtuous life by making this physical world a home. The body and soul, however, are in constant conflict: the body basically looking to satisfy its needs with the soul looking for transcendence and unity. The first step in dealing with this conflict is to acknowledge that the struggle exists, and be aware of the two distinct forces. Thinking that we are a single entity leads to confusion and despair. One day we are virtuous and the next we are selfish; one day we are motivated, the next we procrastinate. It’s actually pretty simple. Love and happiness make you feel good and good things happen when you feel good. There’s a simple reason why this is true. Your outer world reflects your inner world. When you lift your spirits to a place where miracles can happen, they do. Think about living fully and the alternatives – suffering and stress – which are much more common. Statistically, it’s a proven fact that stress kills. It’s another example of your outer world reflecting your inner world. We were born to live happily, but the stresses of life can get in the way. If you live with a lot of stress, anxiety, and the like, your health and well-being may not be in danger today. But where is it going to take you? Stress is an epidemic that is eroding our quality of life, individually and collectively. All at time when making a shift into a happier and more loving world is a real option. It’s truly a choice. As a part of an entire network of life on this planet, we are constantly experiencing an expanding awareness of our surroundings as it all happens! Perhaps there is no ultimate or final goal, and we are learning to adapt to this adventure that is always changing as we live it.

That young girl that I once was has now become a mature woman, who is gazing from a new perspective at an incredible and astounding universe. I can no longer imagine my lifeline from its beginning to its ending. I have no idea where or how it will end! This is the thrill of the unknown for me. Rather than frightening me, it excites me and makes me feel ageless! Every human being is in search of some kind of happiness, joy or pleasure, even if many times we are unaware of it. If we accept that we are a vital part of this earth and surrender into the happiness spirit that guides us, we will grow more and more capable of living the life of our dreams.

My struggle to find my purpose continued until I realized this was not something I could simply figure out in my head. It was a great breakthrough when I became aware that the problem was not that I didn’t know what to do to realize my purpose in life; it was the way I was going about trying to reach it. Life’s purpose is not something we can think our way to discover. It is aligning with it by taking steps in the direction of what we truly want, and removing the obstacles that are in the way. I did that when I gave up a successful architectural practice to follow my heart’s desire. I was finally able to reach my life purpose when I took the steps fearlessly, one after another to explore my dream. I can now gratefully admit that the way is not found by simply looking for it, but by doing it, by living what we love to do. The truth is, most of us spend a good portion of our day replaying situations and conversations in our heads—and depending on the state of affairs, doing this can wreak havoc on our mood.

When you awake in the morning, while you are still lying in bed, think for a moment: What does it mean to be awake and alive? Acknowledge your soul. Think about what you would like to do that would make today a meaningful day. If you train yourself to do this every morning, you will immediately begin to see your life in a new, sharper focus.

One of the main causes of stress and simply ruining your happiness is overthinking. Should I try this? Would this work? What if it turns out to be a failure? What if it does not bring any income? Success in life comes to those who fearlessly try new things without being attached to the end result. Clarity comes through exploration. Results are revealed only after the action is taken. Thinking about what to do only pushes us further away from reaching our ultimate purpose in life

You should end your day as you begin it. As you prepare for sleep, review the day and how you used it opportunities go to sleep with the resolve that no matter how good — or bad — today was, tomorrow will be better. By doing so, your sleep will be more peaceful, and you're waking more meaningful.

There are so many voices flowing through us, so many faces revealing themselves, so many feelings affecting us, and we choose which ones to develop. Yes, you heard me. We are the one who decide who we really want to be. If you don't like what people tell about you don't get hurt. Simply learn! Learn from your past. I'm not saying learn from your mistake. Because whatever you do in your life meant to be happened for a reason and maybe that reason is just to teach what you have to do in another situation in front of another person. Every time you feel embarrassed, angry, sad, loneliness and whatever you feel which is not a happy feeling, try to move on. You're not in this world for being unhappy. We sometimes try to hold on to our moments, and it is then that we can get stuck. A person begins to age when they turn only to their memories and stop creating new ones. If how we feel about ourselves is dependent upon how others feel about us, we are in a threshing machine that will grind the life out of whatever we do. If we don’t find a way to uncover and release what makes us grow and blossom, we will simply be spinning wheels going through the motions. We can't complicate the simplest thing by worrying too much about how we should do it.

Happiness is an active process, not something you get by sitting back and waiting. It’s something to be grabbed by the horns or more vulnerable areas than conquered.

Some people say, even trying to achieve happiness is an exercise in futility. It has been said that happiness is as a butterfly which, when pursued, is always beyond our grasp, but which you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you. My opinion on this is completely disagree. Wrong! Happiness is a mindset so don't go after it find it within. Happy people value contentment as their primary motivation. If you are satisfied, you are likely to be happy. Working towards realistic goals is sure to cultivate happiness since you pursue that which brings you joy. Happiness is not something we can buy, or steal, or work too hard to acquire. If you work too hard at it, you end up obsessing over your own state of mind—Am I happy? ... Really though? And like love, if you have to ask, the answer is no.

However, you should build up your character by knowledge. Knowledge is the key to happiness. Read more and don't afraid of experience. By experience and knowledge you become wise and you will eventually learn the way. Don't let failure distract you in your pathway to happiness.
