Mental reflections

This year, you will continue with great accomplishments. The year 2021 will be the year you RISE! It will be the year you get back up on your feet and hit every goal, and if you can’t, that’s ok. At least you tried!

This year my darling, however, you will take control of those silly medical conditions such as diabetes and fibromyalgia. You will diet correctly, as you should. You’ll have those small meals throughout the day with limited carbohydrates. You’ll exercise daily, as you once did years ago. I know the workouts won’t be in comparison to those at Equinox, but you will remember what you learned from those classes. You will do it, I know how much you want to lose those thirty pounds, and you will! I know you can! Just think of the accomplishments at the end, you’ll lose the weight and take control of the diabetes. You know you can. Remember how fit you were in 2012-2013. Yeah, you remember. The year you ran your little legs during the whole treadmill class and won a pair of Nike shoes. Well, this year, you’ll do the same! Only this time, the winner will be 30 pounds lighter, with less pain, and sugar levels low.

Now, let’s discuss the tattoo on you back, it’s time you have it completed. I know how much you want to wear backless tops, but with that incomplete full back tattoo, you don’t. This year let’s aim to get it done. Let’s show off the demon wench on your back. Let everyone see the woman you fight to hold inside every day. Let them view a completed art piece that is tucked beneath the fabric waiting to be seen. Let them see the colors that flow as her hair, and the snarl that shows the coldness and hurt she bares. Let them all see how she’s dying to once again be set free.

This year let’s reach that goal to complete a certification for drug and alcohol studies to go with that bachelor degree. While you’re at it, continue to gain those A’s and B’s. You were never able to get them in high school or earlier years of college, but lately you have been on a R-O-L-L! So, let’s keep going, let’s prove to the kid’s dreams do come true. Let’s show them how anyone can do whatever they want, when they put their mind to it. Let’s break them from their troll of a father’s mind spell and encourage them to learn. Encourage them of second chances, and of the power of knowledge. While you are doing this, encourage your husband to do the same. Encourage him to get off that couch and get into that truck driving school. His past keeps him down, push him to work towards a positive future.

Most importantly sweetie, you got to call family more. You’ve already learned that tomorrow isn’t always promised, and we always think we have time. However, we don’t. At any minute, life can drastically change. We never know when it’s our time, or theirs. They know you’re busy, and that you don’t like to bother them. But they’ll love to hear from you, even if it’s a simple hello. So, try to call Nana and Mommy more. I think they’ll enjoy that. This is also the year of forgiving, so forgive those you feel truly don’t deserve it. It will only bring you peace and tranquility.

Darling you have already accomplished so much in your life. You have aimed for so many stars, and you can continue to do so. This year in 2021, let’s shine even brighter! Let’s aim even higher. Let’s love our self a little more than usual. Let’s not stay in 2020, the year food, toilet paper, and water were scarce. Let’s pull our self into 2021 with better results and accomplishments. Honey, you are meant to shine! So, let’s shine on.
