In addition to ballet, “Vih” is a girl in love with makeup. Now 16, the young woman also excels in tap dancing, jazz and contemporary dance.

What does it take to fly? Wings, willpower or just getting your feet off the ground. Who impresses when floating in the air amidst ballet steps is the young Vitória Bueno, better known as “Vih”. Now 16, she was born armless, but a lack of upper limbs has never stopped her from making precise dance-style moves and jumps. If the choreography calls for a plié, jeté or balloné, the dancer will be delighted to play them with lightness, harmony and a smile on her face.

Dance was born with Vitória, as she tells in an interview with Claudia Meireles column. In the early years of childhood, the girl would throw herself on the steps, half as a joke. At age 5, she joined Academia Ândrea Falsarella, in the city of Santa Rita do Sapucaí, in Minas Gerais, where she lives. Regardless of her young age, it didn't take long for the student's passion for the sport to emerge once and for all. Synonymous with dedication, the young woman is awarded a gold medal by the Royal Academy of Dance, one of the most prestigious ballet schools in the world.

Vitória evaluates the feat as the greatest achievement of her personal trajectory and as a dancer. “It was an inexplicable happiness! It's an international method and I didn't know how they would rate me. The reception was surprising and warm, which made me feel very fulfilled!”, she recalls, of the feeling of completing exams at the renowned academy. She has performed alone on the stage of the Teatro Ítalo Brasileiro, in São Paulo, but she wants to “fly” further.

The ballerina describes herself as an accomplished, joyful and dreamy girl. Among so many aspirations, her goal is to show what she knows how to do best on the stages of the Joinville Dance Festival, in Santa Catarina, and also at international events. Another wish of Vitória is to complete her training at the Royal Academy of Dance and then enter a college of the modality. In addition to standing on tiptoe in ballet steps, the young woman rocks tap, jazz, contemporary dance, among other rhythms.

Instagram:

"An explosion." Thus, the presence of the dancer on social networks can be defined. As of December 31, she has collected 23k followers on Instagram. A month passed and “Vih” multiplied the number by almost seven times. Currently, the young woman has 150,000 admirers – and counting. Vitória was surprised by the public's engagement and the number of followers: “I didn't imagine it would happen. What impressed me the most was the speed, in such a short time so many people following me on social media.”

The videos cover much of the “Vih” profile, such as ballet performances and dance challenges. In the last one, she plays with the choice of “look” for when she receives the vaccine against Covid-19. In the background, the song “Bum Bum Tam Tam”, by MC Fioti. The song became a "Coronavac" hit. Upon learning of Victoria's story, her followers see her as an inspiration. Aware of having become a reference, the dancer seeks to convey joy and show that “dance is for everyone” through her posts.

Messages:

“I love receiving messages from people from all over Brazil and from different parts of the world”, reveals the dancer. Vitória Bueno's Instagram feed is not just made up of ballet, jazz and tap dancing. Another passion of the young woman is called makeup. Expert with brushes, she uses her feet to produce herself. When asked about her favorite type of makeup, the answer was on the tip of her tongue: “baphonic”. “If not, I won't do it. I love doing cat eyeliner, colorful makeup and enhancing the smile, my favorite trait,” she says, laughing.

Here's Vitória's tip about what can't be missing in a production: “The well-marked eye”, she defends. Before creating “makes bapho”, the dancer looks for references. Who inspires her is the digital influencer Juliana Luziê. “I love her makeup and her challenges, which make for really fun content,” she delivers. On Instagram, “Vih” posted a step by step of how she enhances her own beauty.

Do not give up!

With a long career ahead of her, the 16-year-old is constantly learning, a formula that leads her to chase and conquer her dreams. She has two personal goals. First, to make the blood and dance family proud, and the second is to be able to repay the help received throughout life. The ballerina considers Academia Andréa Falsarella her second home, where she entered when she was 5 years old.

According to the young woman, the strength to move forward and not surrender to difficulties “comes first from God and from my mother”. Vitória sees in the matriarch an example of strength and courage. “She faces obstacles. A warrior and icon of determination!” she praises her. Having the biggest inspiration of perseverance at home, the 16-year-old ballerina passes on the lessons learned at home to those who seek her out for advice.

Among so many appeals, “Vih” motivates people to insist and achieve their own goals.
