What’s your name?

I am Cetera Kiara Williams

Where are you from?

hailing from the vibrant city of Vicksburg located in Mississippi.

Why do you love what you do?

What fuels my passion and why I love what I do is not merely a profession; it's an opportunity to save lives and prove that dreams are attainable. The feeling of knowing others are watching including my kids and going after their dreams because of me is amazing so I strive to see others win, not just me!

What makes you different?

What sets me apart is my journey. Rising from a family of 13 born into poverty, where statistics dictated none would make it. Yet; here I stand! The one who defied the odds and took the initiative when success seemed a distant dream. Although I’m not there YET success is mine because God already laid out the foundation for me all he needed was for me to take that leap of faith and seek after what’s mine. In 2020, I started a clothing line named “ MoneMatterz Clothing” because there were always a money matter and we had to get to it . This lucrative business would be ran along side my best friend, my child’s father the one person that saw the best in me even on days I felt like giving up ,he was always there to push me to my full potential. A venture that held the promise of a shared future. Tragically, that future was abruptly altered when my partner fell victim to gun violence, leaving me as the sole provider for our young daughters. Our youngest, at the tender age of only two years young added a layer of complexity to an already challenging situation. This devastating loss casted a shadow over me triggering a two year battle with depression that no one knew I was fighting, during which the weight of grief seemed insurmountable. However, within the depths of despair, my daughters became my anchor and motivation to rise above adversity. I just could not let myself succumb to depression and fail my girls because they were always watching . I had to pull myself together for them. Overcoming depression was a gradual journey marked by resilience and pivotal moments of self discovery. Their innocence and unwavering need for a present and engaged parent became the catalyst for my transformation and the promising and encouraging words of Ray Lewis which states as follows “At the end of pain is success.” He then went on to say that eventually pain will subside and something else will take it’s place , but if I quit , however it will last forever. It was during these tumultuous years that I found the strength to return to school. A decision that became a cornerstone of my healing process. Graduating in February of 2023 was not just a personal achievement; it represented a triumph over profound loss and a testament to the transformative power of education in rebuilding shattered lives. This journey, with its twists of fate, loss, and eventual triumph, has not only shaped my personal narrative but has fueled my unwavering belief in the resilience of the human spirit. It serves as a poignant reminder that, even in the face of life altering challenges, the pursuit of education and the enduring love for family can illuminate a path toward healing and renewed purpose.

What do you bring to your industry?

I bring HER to my industry , unfiltered, genuine, and unapologetically me. In an industry often swayed by norms, I bring rawness and vulnerability, holding true to my beliefs without compromise. Looking ahead, I envision myself as one of the recognized faces representing the strength and beauty of melanin women.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Five years from now, I see myself at the helm of a multi-million dollar clothing business, leaving an indelible mark. Beyond the glitz, my purpose extends to building a foundation for my daughters, providing them with a legacy they can proudly call their own. However, my ambitions reach beyond personal success.

What do you want to accomplish in life?

What drives me is the desire to financially care for my parents, affording them the comfort they rightfully deserve. In the tapestry of life.

What do you want to be remembered by?

I aim to be remembered not as the statistic that overcame odds but as the individual who never gave up. My journey is a testament that perseverance, authenticity, and unwavering belief can turn dreams into reality so here I am today in 2024 on the other side of my pain going after my promise!
