Make Your Art Passion a Source of Passive Income for You.

People become artists by choice, mostly. Some might be in this field without interest but I think it happens very rarely. Because nobody comes into this field without interest. Whether you are a self-taught artist or a professional artist, you are an artist because your inner voice convinces you to be an artist. Otherwise, forcefully nobody can become an artist (at least in my opinion).

Definitely, you need financial support to nourish your passion.

Some possible scenarios could be:

• You might be financially strong enough that you can handle all the arts expenses without doing anything.

• You might be the person who worked hard to pay your bills and you have less space to fulfill your passion.

If you are from the second category, you might wish many times to have some extra money to accomplish your artistic goals or you might decide to take a hard decision to kill your dream of becoming an artist when you didn't find a way to support yourself financially. If you are gonna kill your passion due to your financial difficulties, don't do so. Your passion can be an income source for you. You can live your passion along with earning through it. Not only it will bring you money to meet your art expense even it can provide you money to meet your other life expense.

Here I am gonna share some ideas that I tried myself to meet my art expenses.

#1. Create an Art Blog or Website

You are an artist and you have a good knowledge of art. For sure, you have learned the art by practicing, and going through lots of challenges, failures, and successes. In short, your mind is enriched with knowledge about art. What if store this knowledge for yourself and for others? I understand it's difficult to write everything on paper. So, the most enjoyable, interesting, and reliable thing that you can do is "create an Art Blog." You can create an art blog on writing sites like Medium, Vocal Media, HubPages, and other similar sites. Or, you can create your websites by yourself. You can create your art blog free by Blogger or Hostinger. On blogger, you can create it fully free or you might be exposed to a little investment of up to $2 to $5 dollar to buy your favorite domain name. I create my art blog "the light art blog" on blogger totally free. I just buy a domain name for $3 to $5. If you want to create your website/blog on WordPress, you can buy hosting. You will get a domain name, hosting, and benefits at a low cost. If you don't know how to create a blog, you can hire someone who is providing reliable and cheap services on Fiverr or other freelance sites. Such as being an expert in blogger blog/websites, I also assist people in creating their blogs or website with my reliable freelance services. After monetization of your blog, you will start earning passive income.

#2. Create an Art Journal

Journaling plays an important role in everyone's life. When it's come to art, it's become more important. You should do art journaling for your artistic passion as well. Being an artist, I am sure, you are creative enough that you can launch your own journal. If you don't know how to create a journal, let me introduce you to a bit. Go to canva, select the journal template customized it according to your need, and upload it on Amazon Kindle. A good journal can bring you lots of passive income every month. You can create multiple journals and start selling them on Amazon. The amount of money you will earn depends on the efforts you put in. Once you have created and uploaded an amazing journal, you will keep earning through it.

#3. Start your art vlog

You all know that youtube is a big source of income for those who use it well. I think youtube is the earliest platform that start giving careers to people when there was less opportunity on the internet for earning money. I will must recommend every artist to start Art Vlog. It has a number of benefits other than money.

• It will keep you motivated about your art passion.
• An artist him/herself enjoys creating videos of their art, thus, you will get an activity to do.
• It will make you productive.
• Appreciation from people can encourage you to produce more and you will become more confident.
• Finally, it will become a passive source of income for you.

#4. Write a simple art guidebook

Being an artist with years of experience you can write a simple art book. Even if you do not have much experience still you can do it. You can put all your knowledge and experience in book format. It's up to you how, and what kind of book you produced. If you'll put more creativity, into your book, more readers will enjoy it. Self-publish your simple guidebook on Amazon Kindle and earn passive income through it. Of course, your income totally depends on your content. So. try to do some hard work and research work while creating a book so that you got good results. Struggle once and get fruitful results for a long.

#5. Create a buy me a coffee page

I know and saw many people supporting artists' works. People heartily love to support the artist's work if they really enjoy or like your artwork. So, create a support page like buy me coffee. You can create your page on "Ko-fi" and "buy me coffee." I personally like the "buy me a coffee" site to create my page because it's easy to use and create than ko-fi. You can also create it on Patreon or whatever platform you like. Create your support page and must share on your art page, social media, blog post, and vlog.

Final Thought!

Don't misunderstand the term passive income. It doesn't mean you can earn money by thinking about it and without doing anything. Whether you are an artist or any other professional, you have to put effort once and then you can make money even if you skip to do work for a certain time period or you can say that without doing anything later. But in the beginning, you have to work. Nowadays, I love to work to create passive income sources for me because, after two and a half years of freelancing and working, I realize the importance of passive income. Sometimes, you don't want to work, sometimes you are not mentally active enough, sometimes you don't have much creativity inside your head, in that sometimes you still want to make money but you can not if you do not work. So to keep earning even if you don't want to work is to create passive income sources for you.
