Let Light In

Let Light in, and remind yourself again and again of bold, unbridled hope stirring deep within.

Even if the future turns out differently than expected, you will still be directed right where you need to be. You will still be able to step into a new season that is filled with possibilities, even if the possibilities are different than the ones you left behind.

It’s hard to leave broken dreams behind, and to try to find your way through a less-than-ideal season, but you will make it through this.

You will find Light in the hallways.

Sunrises over parking lots.

The sound of calming music against the sound of evening rain.

And in the moment these little things won’t feel like very much, but one day you will look back and see that they were more than enough to keep your heart and mind open to learn and grow, despite all that had been broken.

And I just hope you know you are worthy of this. You are worthy of living a meaningful life amidst all that fell apart. You do not have to wait to start again. You do not have to wait to open up to the beautiful reality that there is still time for you. As long as you are still breathing you have not seen all there is to see. You may be tired of changing, and tired of searching, but all of this is preparing you to be: more of yourself, and more and more present to this moment so that you can begin to see: the future will arrive when it is meant to arrive and for now, you are still free to breathe.

You do not have to wait another moment. You do not have to wait for the call or the letter to experience life right where you are. While you wait, you are free to create a space where you let Light in to remind you again and again of unbridled hope that is stirring within. Hope to keep going, ever-knowing you are learning and growing while you are waiting, and you are far from finished yet.

Your life is not waiting to start. Your worth is not waiting to be ignited in seasons to come. It all begins right here where you are. So let Light in. Begin to see the many ways that the gifts and strengths you already have can be illuminated right here, amidst the shadows of your unknowns. You can still know peace here. You can still have hope here. You can still choose to believe there is more to you and more to this life than what you see.
