If Only It Was As Simple As a How To

The Undeniable Truth of Life

I’m almost positive that every human being on this planet asks themselves this very question at least a million times throughout their lives. “How the hell did I get to where I’m at during this moment?” Whether suggesting your behind in life, farther than you thought you’d be, or simply in between I guarantee you still ask your self am I right?

To some extent it’s pretty basic, genetics, family molding, social norms construct us into who we are during our journey through living. I myself am learning to accept the hand I’ve been dealt. I see the beauty in the painting my life continues to paint. Of course I constantly question my sanity but realistically what’s considered sane anymore.

While your reading this your probably trying to relate or compare similar thoughts that have ran through your mind. As a society that is one thing we're great at, we are good at comparing literally anything; it’s a form of competition that we usually confuse as empathy or compassion. Truthfully we all just try to one up each other when it comes to personal goals, accomplishments, failures, culture, religious views, they are just other ways you can be better than the person next to you. Human nature gives us the opportunity when we are children to absorb the bright bold surroundings of the world. As we mature in age we start inquiring Life itself which only leads to the absolute need for a correct answer.

Not only are we always on the search for answers, we also seek money, friends, family, careers, adventures, and self purpose to succeed in life. I’m telling you right now there is no correlation between balancing all of those things all the time. That like expecting to walk a straight line home when your wasted, you can’t do it without a little loss of balance here and there. I’d absolutely love to say when you hit a certain age your given a compass that points you the right direction towards your destiny, unfortunately that’s impossible, and plus even if we were given that compass, most of us would choose the opposite direction for the simple fact we love to do the opposite of what we’re told. We took the phrase "take the road less traveled" a little too serious, I’m almost positive it didn’t mean for you to run your life downhill for it’s the “cool” thing to do now.

Society is always wreaking havoc with thoughts and opinions, especially since we create such strong ones against people other than our own selves. We don’t normally realize we are in all power of our own happiness. All it takes is the tool of thought, think of it this way if you can create something you can also change it right? We as a species cause so much self destruction, we put all our energy an effort into nonsense, making excuses we are just an infinite amount a self causing harm.

Almost every thing we do in today’s time, is nothing more than inducing more competition. Consider life the amazing race and every new accomplishment or goal or political change is just adding another lap to the indie 500. So as my conclusion there is no such thing as self help media that is magically going to make you a better person, there isn’t a map where the x marks your true purpose in life. Get off the figurative couch, think outside our society league standards, not one person can tell you hat will make you feel satisfied in life, just do it!
