1.It was one of those days for me, get up and go to the store before going to work the usual. After getting up and ready to go to the store taking the Lyft I made it on time like always, when I look to my left after getting dropped off I seen this older lady sitting in a wheelchair waiting for somebody. I did my business in the store and left out around the same time I always do, but when I looked to my right the same lady was still there. I didn’t know what to do cause I didn’t want to leave her there so I held off from calling my Lyft even though I know it’ll be hard for me to get one as time is going by, but I stood next to her and asked “ Hi ma’am do you need some help” as I talked to her I found out she was disabled and couldn’t really talk properly but I found out she was waiting for her shuttle bus to pick her up. She was so nice I couldn’t leave her there by herself because where we were was not really a good place to be there, I knew time was ticking and I had a hour before I had to go to work. I learned her name was Nakaya and that she had a daughter and her daughter was disabled to, we set outside in the heat for two hours waiting on the shuttle bus to get there. When the bus finally arrived she smiled to me and asked me how old I was “I’m 19 Ms.Nakaya” she told me it was the first time a young person helped her like I did. I couldn’t stop feeling happy for a week to think the that small gesture would make somebody feel good, people always ask me “ why are you so nice” and I tell them “what’s the point in not being nice” I never be stressed and I feel good when other people are happy.
2. When I worked at Hardee’s I would meet some of the strangest, rudest, and plain old ignorant people, but from those group of people I would meet some gems and they are the ones that made me love my job. I had this one customer a sweet older lady, comes every two to three days a week she never knew my name and I never knew her’s but we would sit and talk until she was finished with her food. Every time she comes and goes we tell each other I love you and I thought she was an angel coming from the heavens, I always ask her when she comes how’s her garden or did you get to have a good rest because she always moving never really sitting still. On my last day of working for Hardee’s I was so happy and sad when she came, I didn’t know how to break the news to her I’m leaving so we sat down and talk like normal then I told of my leave. She told me that she was happy that I’m bettering myself and that she will miss me, I started to cry because that was the first time I heard that after work for the company for 3 years. Before she left she told me that I made her day every time she came and that since she lived by herself I was one of the reasons she would come so often just to visit me and have some to bond with.
