"Mother, I will never play with them again!" As she ran home that day, 6-year-old Bridget threw herself into her mother Anna's arms and cried, "George says he can crush a man as short as me with two fingers!" "Jenny deliberately put the toy on the highest stool, I can't stand on tiptoe to get it, they laughed at me!"

Listening quietly to her daughter's cries, Anna gently wiped away her tears. Then from the fruit bowl on the table, one large apple and one small apple were cut open for Bridget to taste. First, she took a bite of the big apple and sobbed, "Sweet!" He took another bite of the small apple and said in surprise, "It seems sweeter!"

Anna nodded and said, "You're right, son! The same apple trees bear different fruit, some big, some small. On the outside, bigger apples may be more attractive. But only those who have tasted it carefully will notice that the smaller apple has more sugar stored in it because of its slow growth cycle, which makes it sweeter than the larger apple! God prefers smaller apples!"

Little Bridget was enlightened by her mother's eloquent words. Due to congenital dysplastic dwarfism, her body stopped developing very early. Her height of 69 centimeters once made her feel inferior. But if even God loves little apples, why can't she make a miniature version of a happy angel?

Since then, Bridget was completely out of the shadow of low self-esteem, under the guidance of her mother Anna, her hobbies day by day were more extensive, from kindergarten to college, she gradually liked singing, dancing, gymnastics, basketball, and magic show. She would roar through the crowds on a specially made electric scooter. She would speak at school assemblies, exhorting students not to lose heart no matter what difficulties they encountered. She'll pop up in a TV commercial as the face of a brand. She's going to steal the show at the school dance competition because she's the craziest cheerleader.

When she was 19, misfortune struck Bridget again. She was knocked down by a car and hospitalized with multiple fractures. For more than half a year, she was covered in various bandages and unable to take care of herself. During the most difficult time of her life, she remained optimistic. When she could barely move her hands, she began to write on the computer from her hospital bed, updating at least 1,000 words a day on her web page.

Bridget's tenacity has moved more and more people, many of whom have become her loyal followers. They not only leave comments on the Internet to support her work but also send all kinds of small gifts to express their good wishes. Bridgette was so moved that she sent a video message to her fans, thanking them for their attention and support.

Bridget, 22, a college student in Illinois, was named the world's shortest woman by Guinness World Records in July 2011. In August of that year, her autobiographical novel, A View from the Low, was published and sold more than 1,000 copies a day, making it one of the best-selling books of the year in the United States.

During a book signing, Bridget responded to requests from readers to perform a dance routine in a stunning pink dress, pink hair clips, and transparent pink nails, looking like a beautiful angel. She was asked the secret of her success. Bridget laughed and said, "God makes the smallest apple sweet. Therefore, I have always believed that the shortest of me, also can let life glow in a different style! This is also God's preference for me!"
