Finding motivation when no one believes you

Motivate yourself!

Isn't it true that we've all been here? Maybe you were approached about taking part in a business opportunity, but your friends and family discouraged you because “that would never work.” Did you have a dream job as an actress, singer, or writer that required a lot of hard work and a little luck?

Then you've most likely heard the "what are you going to do if it doesn't work out" spiel. Most of the time, we believe these individuals mean well, but it may be difficult to keep motivated and focused on your goals when others we love and trust appear to believe we are making the wrong decision.

Understanding the distinction between being unsupportive and not actively supporting someone might help you find inspiration. Someone who isn't supportive will try to persuade you to give up your ambitions.

This is the individual who tells you that your ambitions are unattainable and that you should quit up immediately. A person who is unsupportive will bring out all of the reasons why you should not do something that you enjoy.

People generally ask these kinds of questions or make these kinds of remarks in order to be helpful and assist you in considering all of your options. They may be unaware that when people begin anything new and out of their comfort zone, they usually want reinforcement.

Some people, on the other hand, make such remarks out of jealousy. They may reflect their worry and uncertainty onto you at other times. Whatever the cause, the sad fact is that statements like this may come from our closest friends and family members, and they have the ability to hurt us.

Someone who isn't actively helping you has a different appearance. This individual does not go out of their way to assist you, but neither does he or she try to persuade you to abandon your aim. An engaged follower could come upon your most recent article on Facebook, read it, share it, and tag some friends. Alternatively, they may read it and then stop. Or maybe they don't read it and just scroll through it. These individuals aren't aggressively supportive of you, but they're also not unsupportive.

Understanding the distinction can assist you in gaining motivation and developing a strategy. To begin with, the simplest thing to do when dealing with unsupportive people is to do nothing. You already know who these individuals are, and you don't even need to tell them about your recent experience.

When it comes to those who do not actively support you, though, you have a few options. Rather than waiting for them to find out how to help you, ask them to perform specific things first. If you have a YouTube channel, you may upload a video to your Facebook profile and ask five friends to share it.

Building your confidence might be difficult, but it will help you find inspiration in the face of hardship. The first step is to learn how to question your self-limiting beliefs. When we are at our most vulnerable, we tell ourselves these negative ideas.

Second, don't be concerned with what that friend thinks. Stop squandering your time worrying about what other people think. One of the most unmotivating things you can do is give others so much influence over your life. You have the option to cease entrusting your decisions to others.

Finally, let the negative individuals go, and if they don't leave peacefully, remove them from your group. You are not required to include negative individuals in your bubble. Negativity saps your motivation and makes it harder to believe in the possibility of anything.
