Fear the Future?

Where will we be?

The future, that word sometimes strikes the fear of the unknown within each of us. This fear of the unknown is prevalent in everything in society, we are all afraid for many reasons in our life. Some fear like that of danger is inherent to our most primal of natures and can help us protect ourselves. While other fear we allow to interfere with who we are as a people and as an individual.

We fear the unknown, the knowledge that this life can be filled with unknown dangers terrifies us to our core. It strikes at the very fabric of our comfort zones and can cause us to think and feel in ways that we may not normally. This mob mentality can cause good men and women to create division within society and attacks the very future of humankind.

We are all guilty of it, each of us afraid of tomorrow, of where this journey called life can take us and who will we be when we get there. None of us are perfect but I know that the future can be a good one but only if we believe in it and each other.

This "Age of Fear" that we live in is so uncertain, filled with known and unknown threats that it's hard to lose sight of the fact that the only way we have a future is together. We are all one people, before ideologies, sex, creed, color, orientation or some imaginary borders on a map. We use these fears to separate us from the whole of humankind.

When we allow fear to invade the very sense of who we are, we create a parasitical system that eats away at the soul of humanity. Fear has caused greed, hatred, and wars that have pushed us farther away from the truth. Fear will never lead us to power, security or peace for absolute power corrupts absolutely and the second that that is achieved it will become corrupt and you will forever lose your grip on that power. The only way to ensure that perfect future for you and yours is to create that perfect future for everyone. This will be the hardest thing Humanity will do and I know there will be stumbles along the way but it will allow that perfect future for all who live on this planet.

You can never achieve your absolute security unless everyone is secure. I know it's the harder path but we need to create a world where the value of life is paramount to any and everything else. We are all mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, cousins, and friends to someone and it's those connections that bind us to who we are as a people. That collective soul of humanity.

I know that each of us just wants the best for each other, we want to see our children grow up in a free and safe society, to find work that fulfills us and helps society, to have security in that future. We want to ensure these rights to whom we deem to be "our people" but its never been your people or my people we have and always will be one people.

Power through; fear is fleeting and it will always be corrupted and lost more and more as you struggle to retain it. True power comes from unity and unity can only come from truly understanding yourself and another. Once we realize this our institutions can once again be used as tools to secure the future of our and not make it where our institutions see the people as enemies. You can have that perfect future and obtain the highest form or order by realizing that you do not need to obtain that highest form or order but instead creating a more stable kind of order, unity.

We either create a world for everyone or else you will end up in a world fit for no one.
