What does it mean to define me? For me it means a lot of things, it means being creative, passionate, always chasing something, following another passion, finding ways to be more creative, seeing the beauty in everything, and the most disorganized person you will ever meet. For other people they need to define their passion or what term describes them.
My life is very constant and always has been. Sometimes I spend with friends, family, and other times I spend alone. I too need down time. There are days I do not create at all or even think about creating. Years ago I would think what is wrong with me. I am literally tapped out, but the older I got I realized there are going to be days resting is the best thing. Sometimes this is the problem with people they do not realize being perfect everyday is just not humanely possible. BTW: I have never said I was perfect or even tried to be. In fact, I am the total opposite. I do not dress to impress nor do I care how people see me.
I am a person that is always chasing a dream. I love inventing things and sharing. Most of the stuff I create is free, because I love to share my passions and hobbies with others so they can create things as well. Yes, I would love to make money, but if I do not it is OK. When I was almost 55 years old I wrote my first book and published it, then fast forward 6 months later I published a health/recipe book, and then a couple of months later I published another book. For the most part everything I write is helping others. My podcast is helping others, and my talk show is just fun.
I am also very spiritual. I do not go to church, but I do believe in God, the Universe, and yes I have multiple spirit guides around me. Why am I mentioning this? Because I feel if more people would tap into all of these things life would go a little easier. When I started believing more doors started to open for me. Before that there were so many years of my life that was taken from me. Honestly, when you hit the bottom you will start to come up. When there is too much stress in your life that you cannot handle, that is the breaking point. The more you are attuned the more you align.
Part of my creativity has always been taking photos and sharing. Nature is my best friend. In fact, my pet is directly from nature and put in my path. He is going to be 24 years old. The most beautiful turtle I have seen. Most of my pets were given to me by a person, them being in my path or by nature. I do not grab animals from their habitat. Originally Ziggy was sick and I brought him to a hospital to be looked at and I was going to give him to a rehab that would have killed him and decided to keep him. He gets checked once a year for his health.
As I mentioned above I do spend some time alone and rest. For me resting is great and helps me distress. Sometimes I do not want to think about what I have to do, going to do, or anything. I just want to not think. I am lucky enough to know everyone needs down time. We all need to distress. Spend time with ourselves. Get to know you.
Here is something I would like to ask everyone who reads this article to do: sit alone from time to time and get to know you, not what people want you to be, not what you wish you could be. I want you to know you. I bet at that point you will find your life will get easier.
Be the amazing you that you are,
