Acknowledge and activate these seven truths that will grant you financial breakthrough. And you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. – John 8:32 – 1. Acknowledge Jesus Christ as the God of your financial breakthrough. We are first introduced to God as the Lord of the Breakthrough when the Philistines came against David after they discovered he had been anointed as king. Oftentimes, when the enemy sees your anointing and potential, he will target you. David sought the Lord and was given a sure word that he would conquer the Philistines. He did so and called the place of his enemy’s defeat Baal- Perazim, meaning the Lord of Breakthrough. When the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek out David; and when David heard of it, he went down to the stronghold. Now the Philistines came and spread themselves out in the valley of Rephaim. Then David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You give them into my hand?” And the Lord said to David, “Go up, for I will certainly give the Philistines into your hand.” So David came to Baal- perazim and defeated them there; and he said, “The Lord has broken through my enemies before me like the breakthrough of waters.” Therefore he named that place Baal-perazim. –2 Samuel 5:17-20 God will always lead you in triumph! (2 Corinthians 2:14). No maƩer how great your baƩle is, God is with you as the Lord of your breakthrough! He is with you whatever your circumstance. Look at this amazing promise from Hebrews 13:5b in the Amplified Bible: “I WILL NEVER [under any circumstances] DESERT YOU [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], NOR WILL I FORSAKE or LET YOU DOWN or RELAX MY HOLD ON YOU [assuredly not]!” Jesus declared in Matthew 28:18 that ALL authority in heaven and earth belonged to Him. He has power over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19) and so do you. Christ in you is powerful and is your hope of experiencing His glory (Colossians 1:27). Make it personal and acknowledge that He is the God of YOUR breakthrough! He is! 2.Acknowledge that your prosperity is God’s will. The Lord makes it clear in the Word that He desires us to be prosperous (living in abundance and overflow). There is no lack or poverty in heaven; you will not find those things in God’s realm … only abundance! Jesus said in John 10:10 that it is the thief who comes to rob, kill and destroy you, but He came so you may have life in abundance. In 3 John 2, John reveals it is God’s will for all believers to prosper and be in health as our soul prospers. Throughout the Old and New Testaments you will discover that God wanted His covenant people to succeed and prosper in all they put their hands to. This is what He wants for you, too. For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the Lord gives grace and glory; no good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. – Psalm 84:11 Many people have a hard time believing that God wants them to live in abundance and prosperity. They think that living in lack and poverty is holy. I have ministered in many poverty-stricken lands and, believe me, there is nothing holy about poverty. Where there is poverty you will also find depression, corruption, disease, starvation, and oppression of every kind. It is evil and must be avoided at all costs. Jesus taught us to pray, “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Let’s commit to acknowledging God’s will for our lives – prosperity! 3.Acknowledge that God’s Word is powerful and true. Jesus said that the words He spoke were spirit and life (John 6:63). His words are powerful and will come to pass when we speak them. In Hebrews 11:3 we discover that God framed the world by the words of His mouth. You can frame your world, too. The words you speak can create or destroy – they can bless or curse. The words of your mouth will produce either prosperity and abundance or poverty and lack. Because of this sobering fact, it is important to choose our words wisely and carefully. God’s words are perfect and all of His promises are yes and amen to those who are in Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20). When you decree and declare the Word of God, you are releasing life- giving truth into the atmosphere. You can also specifically target areas of your life with the Word of God – including your finances. Isaiah 55:11 reveals: “So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; it will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.” And look at this amazing promise from Job 22:28: “You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; and light willshine on your ways.” Esther 8:8 further reveals that a decree made in the name of a king (our King isJesus – the King of all kings) will not be revoked: “Now you write to the Jews as you see fit, in the king’s name, and seal it with the king’s signet ring; for a decree which is written in the name of the king and sealed with the king’s signet ring may not be revoked.” When you decree the Word of God, you are activating the power of God to perform it. For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. –Hebrews 4:12 (AMP) Make daily decrees of God’s blessings over your life and enjoy supernatural, life-giving results. 4.Acknowledge that your faith is your currency. All the blessings of God are yours if you have asked Jesus to come into your heart and become your Savior and Lord. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. –Ephesians 1:3 Grace and peace be mulƟplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord;seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust. –2 Peter 1:2-4 You can access all the blessings mentioned above by your faith. Faith is your Kingdom currency and it is how you make transactions in the spirit. When Jesus died on the cross two thousand years ago, through His shed blood He opened up access to heaven and all God’s righteousness, promises, and blessings to those who believe. You don’t have to beg for your breakthrough. You don’t have to plead for abundance. It has already been given to you. Hebrews 11:1 teaches: Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things notseen. Jesustaught usto RECEIVE by faith what we were praying for. Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you. – Mark 11:24 Your financial breakthrough and sustained realm of blessing are accessed by unwavering faith. 5.Acknowledge that God is worthy of the first and the best. Jesus is worthy of all our love, all our worship, and all our affections. We are to have no other gods before Him. We are to love Him with all our hearts, minds and strength above all else. When we bring Him the first and the best of what comes into our hands, it is a way of revealing what is in our hearts. It is part of our worship. When we give God the first fruits (the tithe – the first 10%) we acknowledge that He is over all that pertains to us. In the Old Testament, they worshipped God with the first fruits offering at harvest, and the tithe. This was required by law, even though both the first fruits offering and the tithe were initiated by man before it became law (see Genesis 28:22). As New Testament believers we are not obligated under the law of Moses to submit our first and the best unto God; rather, we are motivated and compelled by the law of love. As a result, we believe in the first fruits and in the tithe; many believers even give much more. The benefits of giving God the first and the best are : (Malachi 3:10-12): 1. Living under an open heaven. 2. Blessings that you can’t contain. 3. The devourer will be rebuked by God for you. 4. Fruitfulness without hindrance.
