Saying nothing, says everything!

There is a quote that I've read many times that says that someone can only perceive you at their level of perception. How true is this.

No matter your intention, someone is only going to understand or even care about what you're saying at their level of belief. It's like standing beside another person, outside, looking at the same sky. You say "what a beautiful color of blue the sky is today" and the person next to you says " the sky is gray and dark. Both seeing something completely different in the exact same space.

This can happen in life on so many topics with so many different people. When using your energy to debate the color of the sky, it drains you because what you believe to be true is that " the sky is a beautiful color of blue". Someone else can see something totally different or they are just the debating type of personality that no matter what you think or see, they will always see something different.

This is when you must stop and ask yourself if in fact, this conversation will matter, in a week, a month, a year from now. I am the type of person who tries to help everyone but I've learned recently that shouldn’t be my goal in life because no matter what your belief may be on any given subject, some people will never accept your ideas or your knowledge as their own.

You wonder why? You know what you're talking about yet but they still won't listen. I've found that this comes back to that quote I spoke of before and no matter how much you try to help or to get your facts across to them, even in a passionate way, they still will never accept your knowledge as truth.

However, it’s okay because some people, as much as you would like to align with them on all levels, each one of us are different. Some people will always see the clouds while you see the sun. That is in-fact the reality we live in. So, what do you do when nothing gets your point across to them?

SILENCE is the answer. Silence is extremely powerful because it allows them to keep their point of view, even if we know that it can hurt them or lead them down the wrong path in life. It’s not always about the color of the sky, it can be life changing circumstances, detrimental circumstances.

We only have so much energy to expel each day and if we are giving it all away to someone who's always going to see the problem with it rather than the solution, why drain yourself? It's much better to just STOP talking. Keep your energy sacred because if not, it can lead to stress, disease and other health problems because you are causing your body harm when you get so worked up trying to prove a point that's not being heard. It's not worth it. It's not. It's just truly not!!

Let the other person go on believing the story that they’ve told themselves because regardless of what we'd like to see for them, they shape their own reality so we must let them

Worry about you. The next time you want to prove a point, use that time constructively on yourself. Knowledge is extremely important, knowledge is power but when you’re giving this powerful resource away to those who can’t understand at the level we understand, it’s time to stop the madness.

If you’re like me and tend to be the helper, we get caught up trying to help everyone while forgetting how important we are. We are so used to helping everyone but ourselves. It’s great being the empathetic type however when it’s not appreciated, start giving that empathy back to yourself. Self care is extremely important. Give that time to yourself, your mind, body and soul will thank you for it. Sometimes saying nothing is, saying EVERYTHING !!!
