Reading has been one of the best things that I have found that can improve your life in every way.

There’s simply no beating where you can be by reading.

Though, I must confess, some books are hard to digest.

You’ll go far reading more than by aiming for less.

Here’s six ways to succeeding by reading:

1. Read to connect

Reading can help you connect with people in a number of ways.

First, it can create a shared experience between you and people who have read the same book.

This can lead to interesting conversations and a deeper understanding of each other.

Reading helps to develop a connection with the world and with other people.

It can be a source of pleasure, a treasure trove of knowledge, and a wellspring of understanding.

It can also be the cause of comfort, inspiration, and hope.

Reading helps people understand different perspectives and empathize more with others.

2. Read to discover

Reading can definitely help expand your horizons.

You can learn about all sorts of different cultures and lifestyles, and get new perspectives on things you already know about.

Plus, it can help you find new hobbies and interests. So, if you're looking to broaden your mind, reading is a great way to do it.

Books can be a great way to influence people.

By reading ones that inspire and motivate, you can help others see the world in a new light and make positive changes in their lives.

Reading allows you to be much more articulate with the way that you communicate.

It’s supplies you with spectacular vernacular, and helps you cope with the scope of different perspectives.

If you're looking to make a difference, start by opening up a book and sharing your love of reading with others.

4. Read to appreciate

Reading can help us develop a keener eye for the beauty in the ordinary.

It can transport us into different realms and offer us respite from the mundane aspects of our lives.

We learn about new cultures and lifestyles by reading. We also learn more about ourselves.

We can explore new ideas and perspectives by reading.

Reading can also help us to appreciate the simple things in life.

It can help us to slow down and to savour the moment.

It can help us to find joy in the ordinary, and find magic in the mundane.

The one who reads a new book is never the same.

5. Read to empathize

When we read, we are exposed to delightful new ideas and imaginings that we may not have otherwise had access to.

This can help us to empathize with people who have different experiences from our own, and learn more about the world around us.

When we read about the lives of others, it helps us understand the world and the people in it better.

This makes us more empathetic and understanding, and better able to relate to others.

6. Read to understand

When reading to improve understanding, it is important to take careful note of what is being read, and to try to draw connections between the material and one's prior knowledge.

Additionally, it can be helpful to read aloud or to discuss the reading with someone else.

Overall, taking the time to process and reflect upon the reading can be extremely beneficial.

Remember, when you retain, you gain!

Steps to develop a regular reading habit

1. Make time for reading

Set aside at least 30 minutes to 1 hour every day for reading.

It doesn't really matter what you read, whether it's a book, article, or just a few pages. The most important thing is that you're reading regularly.

2. Find a comfortable place

Choose a place where you can relax and focus on your reading. Maybe your cosy armchair, your porch swing, a nearby park, or even your bed.

3. Set the mood

Create an atmosphere that encourages reading by lighting a scented candle, making some tea, or putting on some soft music.

4. Get rid of distractions

Turn off your phone and put it away. Background music can be soothing, but noise and things like television can be distracting.

5. Let yourself get lost in the story

When you start reading, immerse yourself in the book, and let your imagination run wild. Enjoy the journey!
