Everyone wants to live a successful life. However, life is not easy for everyone. It keeps throwing one challenge after another. Perhaps you are like me. There have been many times in my life when I felt like giving up. When I did not know what lay around the corner. Times when I felt very alone, and realized that no one else was going to care about my problems. Have you ever felt like this?

I wanted success so bad that I was willing to do whatever it took. By any means necessary, I was willing to find the answers to achieve success for me and my family. This pursuit brought many hardships into my life, but one thing it led to was my understanding that you will never know how close you are if you quit.

Craving for some successful life tips? Here are ten tips to help you live a more successful life:

1. Keep yourself focused on commitment instead of motivation

There is a difference between saying "I will do" something and "I am COMMITTED to do" something. How committed are you to your goal? How important is it for you to achieve your goal and what would you be willing to sacrifice to attain it. If you stay focused on your goal, you will find the motivation necessary to attain it.

2. Learn without waiting for results

If you want to stay motivated, focus on learning, exploring, and experimenting. One thing that has stuck with me is this: If you focus on results you will never change, but if you focus on change you will get results. If you focus on the outcome you may lose all your motivation. After all, things often take time to show up. Keep planting the seeds and cultivating your crops. Stay committed to learning new things and it would improve you as a person personally and professionally to achieve a successful life.

3. Enjoy the journey

It's a common saying that a journey is more beautiful than a destination. If you start enjoying your journey, you will stay focused. But if it becomes stressful, then you will become stuck in life. I have found that the more I enjoyed the journey and the process of my actions, the easier it became to keep doing those daily activities. When you are able to move through the day-to-day process with patience and peace of mind, you will get there faster. There will come a time when you will look back and not even realize you're already at the top.

4. Avoid negative thoughts

Every individual is influenced by his/her feelings. These feelings also affect their work. Every person has a different thought in their heads. You have a choice to give power to the positive ones over the negative ones. Which wolf will you feed? Otherwise, you will end up emotionally stuck. Think about exciting things that will help you get out of your comfort zone. Think about your why and what gets you out of bed every day.

5. Using imagination

Imagination is very important. When everything is working well, you are full of energy. But when you are faced with a difficult situation, you need to feel more focused and energized. Instead of repeating that you hate this and that, avoid the feelings that can evoke all the negativity. It's all about your imagination. How positive can it be? Focus on the positive aspects of things. For example, your mean boss can teach you a thing or two even if you hate your job. In short, stay positive by thinking positively. Do this for days and you will see results.

6. Avoid being so nice to yourself

Keeping yourself motivated can bring many results. But there are times when certain actions are not able to bring the kind of results you want. In challenging situations, instead of going into depression and being stagnant, you need to get up and get out. Challenge yourself to do something which you are otherwise afraid of doing. There is nothing like doing things that make us afraid of them. You will find that action cures fear.

7. Stay away from distractions

This is a big one and cost me so much of my time. Things that you engage in the passing of time often distract you. You need to stay away from all such distractions as much as possible if you desire to be successful. Learn on the most important projects instead of new challenging projects. Don't have SOS (Shiny Object Syndrome) like I did. Stick to one thing for the long haul. Jot down a list of time-wasting activities and stay clear from them. This will save you time, energy, and regret.

8. Depend on yourself

Never expect others to do the work for you, be it a friend, boss, or a family. I do believe that no one is completely self-made, and we need other people to be successful. However, we must understand that everyone is busy with their own lives and issues. It's you who needs to achieve goals and that won't happen unless you start to depend on yourself.

9. Plan your activities

You must understand your 3 steps to move forward in life. Be content. Fill your calendar for a reminder and note down everything that you do. Schedule when, how, and what and review each day what you have learned towards improvement. When you write things on paper you will achieve them on purpose. What gets tracked gets growth.

10. Avoid burnout

Too much motivation can also burn you out. Notice yourself for tiredness symptoms. Schedule some time for your mind and body so they can relax. We only have so much energy in our day. Keep switching between creative and logical things so you don't feel bored or unmotivated. You can also switch locations. Practice meditation and start taking deep breaths. Work on one thing for 5 minutes and then move onto the next.
