Often, star studded celebrity weddings are as exclusive as red carpet events. Celebrity weddings are known to be some of the most extravagant and exclusive parties around, with over the top decor, venues, dresses, and guest lists. Because celebrities have the money to spend, they want their big day to be as special as possible and they don’t worry about the price tag when putting together the ultimate ceremony. Usually, celebrities are marrying one another and their guest lists are filled with celebrity friends, so of course, they are wanting to impress everyone in attendance. Celebrity weddings from Los Angeles to New York City and beyond have spared no expense with the most expensive celebrity weddings being upwards of $30 million dollars or more.

Clocking in at $6.5 million, this is an expensive celebrity wedding you wouldn't expect. Often a lowkey couple who flies under the radar, the nuptials of Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel cost a pretty penny. Their big day was a private ceremony in Italy, which included a firework display. However, it also included a week long celebration with friends and family, so it seems that their money was well spent.

Prince Charles and Princess Diana were married in 1981, and it is said that if their wedding costs were adjusted for inflation today, the wedding would have costed around $110 million dollars. This royal wedding would definitely be one of the most expensive celebrity weddings to date if these calculations are accurate. This royal wedding was an extremely lavish event, which included a 5' tall wedding cake and a 25-foot train on Diana’s dress, which was adorned with pearls.

Though they divorced in 2008, Paul McCartney married Heather Mills in 2002, and their big day cost between $2.3 and $3 million. They rented out a remote Irish castle and invited 300 wedding guests to the ceremony. McCartney has since been remarried to his third wife.

In 2014, Kim Kardashian married Kanye West in her third wedding for a very exclusive Parisian/Italian affair. Of course the rap and beauty moguls went over the top to create one of the most expensive celebrity weddings,, costing an estimated $2.8 million dollars. The couple celebrated a week long affair with friends and family in Paris before sealing the union at Forte di Belvedere in Florence, Italy. The estimated $2.8 million spent did not include their time in Paris.

While the wedding itself was extravagant, costing between $3 and $5 million, there was also a lot of money which had to be spent on security. The venue was a no-fly zone since Chelsea Clinton’s parents were the President and the Secretary of State at the time in 2010. And extravagant star studded wedding wouldn't be complete without an item from one of the best wedding gown designers, Chelsea also wore a custom Vera Wang gown that apparently cost around $20,000. The catering was $750,000 and the air conditioned tents to accommodate her 400 guests were $600,000, so you can see how the price quickly added up.

In Kim Kardashian’s second, and very brief, wedding to basketball star Kris Humphries, the couple did not hold back whatsoever with their budget. We watched their love blossom on KUWTK, watched their $10 million wedding, and watched as it all came to an end less than three months later! Hey, if there's anything we can learn from Kim Kardashian, it's that sometimes "forever" is only 72 days.

You know one of the best NBA players is gonna go big or go home, on the court, and at his wedding. Michael Jordan married his second wife, Yvette Prietto, in 2010 and held one of the most expensive celebrity weddings, which cost around $10 million. Yvette’s wedding dress was adorned with Swarovski crystals, and the guest list of this wedding was very exclusive with stars in attendance such as Usher, Robin Thicke, and K’Jon. They all performed for the couple as well. It was a fun filled affair

George Clooney married his wife, Amal Alamuddin, in 2014, and their big day cost an estimated $4.6 million. Some of the most expensive pieces of their nuptial included $250,000 spent on flowers, $300,000 spent on set up, $380,000 spent on Amal’s custom Oscar de la Renta gown, and $160,000 spent on alcohol. The biggest price tag, however, came from $3 million spent on 95 rooms at the Cipriani hotel in Venice, Italy where they foot the bill for all of their guests!

Outside of Rome in a 15th century castle, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes wed in 2006. Though their marriage only lasted six years, the wedding was extravagant nonetheless and cost around $2 million. They spent close to $900,000 on airfare for their guests, $50,000 on a custom Armani gown for Katie, and $15,000 on wine—which is of course one of the most important parts of any wedding!

Prince William and Kate Middleton were not only one of the most expensive celebrity weddings, but a royal wedding for the books that cashed in at $34 million. Security alone at Buckingham Palace for William and Kate’s ceremony cost $32 million because royal weddings are the most high profile weddings in the world! On top of that, the flowers and greenery cost $800,000, the cake cost $80,000, and Kate’s gown cost $434,000. While this wedding was very expensive, it is said that the event boosted the English economy by $690 million because so many people bought merchandise and came to England for the event.

Celebrity weddings are almost always over the top and wildly expensive, but when you have the funds and the friends who support it, it’s all fun and games. Not to mention, many of these celebrities make money off their weddings while spending it. Love and money go hand in hand when you’re famous!
