Hair Care

We think hair issues are an external thing.

In other words, we think our hair will look beautiful if we use the right shampoo, wash, conditioner, or whatever. If only it were that easy!

The secret to luscious, beautiful hair is the interior. In other words, what you put in your body determines 90% of what your hair looks like.

Hair grows from the scalp that is part of your skin. And when your skin is healthy, and while your pores and skin are healthy, a maximum of your hair issues are taken care of.

A regular hydration program (our "20 glasses of water a day", along with other liquids you drink) helps keep the body free of toxins and other waste products. When the body does not have enough water, toxins can accumulate in your system. While those poisons are not enough to cause you to be significantly ill (I would argue that you are not, at best, vibrantly healthy) they can still cause your skin, hair, and complexion. How beautiful they can be. So, start your water program today!

It is important to maintain high levels of fluid in warm weather, as your body secretes more than average in sweat. And if you're going in the sun, bring along a bottle of water! It may seem elementary, but it is an easy thing to ignore, and if you do you will not feel your best or look your best.

But I don't want you to neglect the external use of water on your hair. Water cleanses the daily grit and dirt from the hair. It cleans the scalp pores and vesicles, in particular, making them "breathe". Again, in warm weather, you may want to wash your hair more often. It can double when you are sunburned or when you are exposed to a lot of saltwater on the beach.

If salt is left to accumulate in the hair, it will make the hair look lifeless and greasy. Remember what I said earlier about washing? Water is the primary ingredient for washing. Soaps and shampoos can help, but you need more water, and you have to be generous in its use. If you are on the beach and have a public shower, for example, wash your hair frequently. You don’t always have to use shampoo - just make sure you wash it well! (This applies to any time you use shampoo: make sure to wash all shampoo).

The shampoo you use should be soft and easy on the hair. Baby shampoos are great at such times, as they are designed to be less stringent than some adult shampoos. The primary thing you are looking for is a very gentle soap to remove the dirt in your hair.

Conditioners are also useful for hair rejuvenation. They are especially useful when it comes to hair damage. Damage can come from a lot of factors. Prolonged exposure to the sun is huge. But dyeing hair can also do other chemical exposure.

There are many conditioners to choose from, but a simple vinegar that is simple and gentle on hair. Before you think I'm crazy, give it a try. The process is easy.

After washing your hair and thoroughly washing any shampoo, pour a mixture of 1/4 cup white or apple cider vinegar and 3/4 cup warm water on your hair. (Vinegar should be pure vinegar, without additives. If it is a food-grade vinegar, it is best to use it). Warning: Close your eyes tightly before pouring them on your hair. While this may not really hurt your eyes, they will sting if it gets in them.

After placing the combination into the hair, rub down it into your scalp. Then wash everything. Your hair will be bright and lively and will feel amazing.

The main thing to remember is water. Get used to it. And thank you for your hair.
