According to data reported on Wednesday by researchers at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The coronavirus vaccines made by Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna may have caused heart problems in more than 1,200 Americans, including about 500 who were younger than age 30,

Some experts are questioning the governments' move while also clarifying that they do not oppose the vaccination for kids but the pace at which it is getting administered with the use of the same two-dose regimen that was designed for adults is concerning.

The heart problems reported are myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart muscle. And pericarditis is the inflammation of the lining around the heart. The risk is higher after the second dose than the first dose for an mRNA vaccine, the researchers reported and much higher in men than in women.

The researchers estimated that out of million-second doses given to boys ages 12 to 17, the vaccines might cause a maximum of 70 myocarditis cases, but prevent 5,700 infections, 215 hospitalizations, and two deaths.

But some people are concerned about getting their kids subjected to the experimental dose of vaccine in its experimental phase. The parents do not want their healthy kids to have any heart-related condition or worse, death.

According to the Centre for Disease Control, there were 267 reports of inflammation after one dose of vaccine, 827 were after a second dose, and 132 after an unknown dose as of June 11. But as per CDC, the inflammations were mild and they were taken care of immediately.

"Reassuringly the available outcome data indicate that patients generally recover from symptoms and do well," CDC's Dr. Tom Shimabukuro told the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices

The first reports of myocarditis and pericarditis occurred in Israel in January, and have followed in all countries using mRNAs. The myocarditis and pericarditis associated with vaccines are usually mild and respond well to a course of treatment with non-steroidal anti-inflammatories.

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released a statement clarifying that they are pushing for vaccination despite the mild side effects as the new delta variant of Covid-19 circulating rapidly is much more fatal than mild inflammation by the use of Vaccines.

"Especially with the troubling Delta variant increasingly circulating, and more readily impacting younger people, the risks of being unvaccinated are far greater than any rare side effects from the vaccines,

Even if your infection is mild, you or your child could face long-term symptoms following COVID-19 infection such as neurological problems or diminished lung function."

As the Vaccines do not pose much threat to teenagers and children compared to adults, the group advocating against vaccination had been vocal about not getting vaccinated against Covid-19. But According to a new survey held by The New York Times, nearly 80% of high school juniors and seniors say the pandemic has affected their plans after graduation, and 72% of 13- to 19-year-olds say they have struggled with their mental health.

Over 45 percent of U.S. residents have completed their vaccination schedule, a significant improvement but nowhere near the threshold necessary to snuff out the virus in the country. Rates among the youngest adults continue to lag.
