What a dental horror story, but you haven't heard the worst.

There are millions of people in the world who fear the dentist, but this seven-year-old boy from India needs a reward for what he has gone through! A little boy from India began complaining of jaw pain and swelling in his mouth in July. Like most concerned parents do, they took their son to the dentist and what was found is absolutely insane.

Following extensive X-rays dentist discovered that the young boy had a rather large bag-like tumor on his bottom jaw.The bag contained 526 extra teeth! After the initial shock it was revealed that the boy suffered from an extremely rare compound composite condition called odontoma.

Thankfully, at this time the young boy's other teeth, minus the molars, which will require implants in his teens, are undamaged and are expected to come in just fine. Other than a painful and lengthy trip to the dentist and a significant financial loss in tooth-fairy money Ravindran is expected to have a beautiful smile and quite an interesting story to share throughout his life.

But just imagine the shock! Not only is this condition nearly unheard of, but having to undergo more than five hours of grueling dental surgery to extract the 526 extra teeth is the things that horror movies are made of. The cost of such an extensive dental surgery is overwhelming, even with the best insurance.

The actual price of the surgery was not revealed. However, it cost the boy's family nothing thanks to the Saveetha Dental College who performed the surgery for free. "The teeth were in different sizes that varied between 0.1 mm to 15mm. They looked like pearls in an oyster. Even the smallest piece had a crown, root and an enamel coating like a tooth," Prathibha Ramani, the college's head of maxillofacial pathology told the Times of India. "We have never seen these many teeth in any one site."

Thanks to the college the little boy will have a great smile and a pretty unusual story to share throughout his life. 526 extra teeth is an insane story, but, it is still not some of the strangest tales a dentist has ever shared. Some of the wildest dental stories that have been shared include, nightmarish tales of maggot infested gums, seeds lodged within the gums, which began sprouting a plant, and an abscess so large that it spanned the half the entire jaw.

Pretty gross, huh? But it goes to show you that brushing and flossing is even way more important than you thought. Now, dentists are bound by the whole doctor/patient confidentially rules, but like everyone else who comes home from a hard day at work and shares about their day they too have to deal with the craziest events happening.

They will not tell names, but how would you like to be the family of the dentist who sits down to dinner and shares about their day? All grossness aside now, remember to take good care of your teeth and when you think you have heard the most out there what the heck stories the next one comes along. These are truly the tales that reality television thrives on.

It would not come as a huge shocker to see a network air such a reality series. We already have Botched, plastic surgeries, Sex Sent Me to the ER, and Dr. Pimple Popper so bizarre dentistry is not totally out of the question, I just know it is not a reality series that I would want to watch. All grossness aside, the seven-year-old boy is recovering nicely and only suffered from the usual pain and discomfort resulting from surgery.
