As you can see, Rowena is passionate about Pilates and building a community for women to really feel safe and comfortable while they learn these skills.

As a personal trainer Rowena’s experience is extensive. Not only has she done Pilates and Pole Dancing, but she has also taught Kickboxing, Zumba, been a personal trainer for Light and Easy, as well as taught ballet barre.

Below I conducted a short interview with Rowena Clarke, founder of 21st Century Personal Training.

‘What are your favourite pole moves?’

Rowena: ‘That’s a hard question because I love them all, I would say that my favourites are, Black Widow, Russian Layback and the Superman Drop.’

‘When did you first become interested in fitness and why?’

Rowena: ‘Growing up I loved being active. I did Jazz, Tap, Ballet and Gymnastics as well as everything in between. It’s definitely my passion and my goal in life is to help as many people as possible.’

‘If you were stuck on a deserted Island and could only take one person with you, what three personality traits would they have?’

Rowena: ‘Talkative, active and kind.’

‘What is one piece of advice you would give a newcomer to fitness?’

Rowena: ‘Fitness is a lifestyle change not a race, it’s about the journey that gets you there.’

‘Is there a quote you live by?’

Rowena: ‘If not now, then when? If not you, then who?’

‘Why should someone invest in one of your programs?’

Rowena: ‘Your health is your most important investment. Regular exercise increases longevity and reduces the risk of heart disease. My programs will give you the accountability that you need to progress and reach your goals.’
