If you have a healthy smile, by all means, flaunt it. This is one of the most attractive and engaging aspects of your physical appearance. There is no reason in the world why you should ever want to hide it. The smile that you present to the people around you will always be one of your most endearing qualities.

A Smile Shows Good Health

One of the most important things about your smile that you should be aware of is that is a very reliable health indicator. For example, women who keep their teeth in the best shape will have less trouble conceiving a child than those whose teeth aren't in such good shape. The presence of gingivitis and other conditions is a definite hindrance.

On the other hand, the ability to maintain a strong and healthy smile will prove to the world that you are in peak physical condition. This will reflect on your ability to perform all of your various day-to-day duties with strength, poise, and confidence. It will also show people around you that you can take on any task and complete it.

Your Smile Will Reflect Confidence

The quality of your smile also reflects well upon the fact that you take your health very seriously. The more you do to maintain your smile at the best possible level, the more people around you will recognize you as someone who cares enough to demand the very best for themselves. This will also reflect very positively on your image.

People around you want to know that you are a strong, confident, and competent person. They want to see you at your best. Part of this will be showing the confidence inherent in a strong and healthy smile. The fact that you can smile and laugh while taking command of a situation is proof that you belong in a position of leadership.

Finally, there is the fact that what you are comfortable with when you go to sleep really does matter. You want to go to sleep each night knowing that you have done all in your power to promote a positive self-image. You also want to know that you looked, felt, and performed at a top-level all throughout the course of a very busy day.

You Can Fix a Broken Smile

If your smile has been injured by broken, crooked, or missing teeth, don't panic. This doesn't mean that you will never be able to smile again. The truth of the matter is that the fix is far easier than you think. There are many ways to repair your smile, including making use of modern braces or even clip-on veneers.

No matter how you choose to do it, this is a task that is well worth taking the trouble to see to. And when you consider that you can cover most or all of it through your dental plan, there is no reason to delay. You want to get back your sweet smile as soon as possible so that you can use it to light up the lives of those near you.

Strong Canines Can Promote Dominance

Another reason to never hide your smile can be the presence of sharp, fanged canine teeth. People who have this quality tend to be perceived as naturally dominant in social situations. There are quite a few theories as to why this may be so.

Many of these conjectures have to do with the fact that human beings are seen as natural carnivores. As a result, those who are the most carnivorous in appearance tend to be referred to by people around them. If you possess this natural quality, it may well be to your advantage to highlight it in your appearance.

It's Time to Smile Wide

When you think about it, the impression you leave on people will have a lot to do with your personality. One of the very best ways that you can show the people around you that you care is to smile. Doing so will let them know that you are brave, confident, and ready to go to bat for them. The time for you to show the world your smile is now.
