This Is Not Where I Saw Myself at the Age of 40
When I was in high school deciding on my future, I wish that they had somehow prepared me better for the realities of everyday life. I mean, let's be honest, when you are young, you aren't concerned with balancing a checkbook, clipping coupons, or figuring out how to make a car payment and an electric bill in the same week. This has become my everyday life now.

Public Speaking and Fear
Your day was perfect until this moment. You woke up on time and arrived to your destination with smooth traffic and a nice breeze. You were having a wonderful day until this moment. Until now. A look of sheer terror takes over your face as you receive your instructions. It's your worst nightmare.

Setting Up Your Home Emergency Kit
Are you an experienced over-packer? A certified precautionist? Me too. And there's no need to feel bad about it! Coming from the mind of a small scale prepper, you can NEVER be too prepared for the unknown, and when my country started experiencing a lot of earthquakes and flooding, I decided it was time to finally put together an emergency kit.

Tips for Thrift Shopping
1. Research local stores and sale dates. To start, find out more information about your local thrift stores. Typically, there is more than one around where you live. I know I have at least five in a 20 mile radius of my house. And with each store, come unique sales. Explore which stores have better deals than others, or when each store has sales. My favorite local thrift shop releases a calendar mapping out their sales, and makes sale shopping rather easy. If your second hand store doesn't do this, ask an employee to inform you of future sales and write them down.

There's so many things about camping that makes us constantly go when the weather gets warmer. And we can't forget about roasting marshmallows over the blazing fire pit and telling ghost stories... and hoping the monster doesn't pop out behind the bushes.

Planning a Wedding on a Budget
So, you are engaged!!! Well, let me be one of the first to say congrats. You are taking the next step in both of y'all's lives. Now comes the part that most brides look forward to: planning the wedding. Well, planning a wedding is a lot of work, but it can be fun, too. However, in order to keep from going overboard, you need to make a budget. This is something that I did not do in the beginning, so I have no idea how much I actually spent on my wedding in June 2017. First step is to set a date. Make sure it is far enough out so you not only have time to plan the ceremony and reception, but by setting the date out several months, it also gives family members or friends that do not live close to plan their trip ahead of time.

How to Write a Maid of Honor Speech
First of all.. Hi! I’m Amber and my life is the epitome of “Always a bridesmaid, never a bride,” but don’t let the negative stigma fool you. I’ve truly loved being a bridesmaid and even more specifically a maid of honor (and that’s even after the hundreds of dollars I’ve shelled out…You ladies know what I’m talking about).

How To Make the Most of Your Library Card (From a Former Library Employee)
Take it from someone who used to work in a library: people underestimate them. Sure, we all know they're brimming with hardcovers and paperbacks, but I bet you there's an amazing feature at your library that you're missing out on. I don't even need to go to your library to tell you there's something your library offers that you're not utilizing.
