How to Make a Bluetooth Speaker

Let's be honest. We can't plug our telephones into a speaker long enough. Rescue Bluetooth! I designed my own set, and I figured I would share the experience with somebody else who wants to do the same. The essential components only cost approximately $35, but the cost depends on how the final product looks.

Security Note: I'm not an audiophile or an electrician. I'm just sharing what I found out. Be smart about electronics. Amps can bear a load even when power is switched off.

Step One: Supplies

Components needed: Bluetooth module, amp, 4-ohm full-range speakers, 12V power supply.

Optional components: Audio Taper Cup, DP-DT Turn, LED, 470 Ohm.

Tools: wire clippers, soldering iron, soldering iron.

Step Two: Power

Did you have your equipment? Fantastic. Let's start! Check the picture below, and I'll explain the necessary arrangement.

As both the amplifier and the BT unit need power, but we don't want to use two different electricity wires, we will share one. Because each device has the same power requirements, it needs the wire to be cut close to the plug end. Note- Keep track of which side! The cut ends are then connected to the screw-in terminals on the amp. Plugin the BT module, eventually.

Step Three: Audio

Now we have to switch the audio from the BT to the amp. There's a problem, however. We are sharing a power source such as we made a ground loop to get the speakers excited! I bet you're mad at me now for cutting the power wire, huh? Before you get too crazy, a magic device is known as a ground loop isolator to solve the problem.

Which end face does not matter, go ahead and wire your GLI between the Bluetooth device and the amp. When trying, you are likely to have a male/female RCA, 3.5mm inputs, or even bare wires, which somehow connect. You can purchase adapters, but the easiest thing to do is cut off the ends and solder the bare wires together.

These cables have a left channel, the right track, and a ground wire connecting them simple. Red goes to red, white to white, and dirt to soil. Ground wires tend to be thicker and bare, or black. You can need to connect many terrains & that's all right! Twist them, solder them and wrap them in the electric band.

Take your speakers next. I've used some old car speakers I've been lying around. Only make sure they're complete (not tweeters or subs), and 4-ohm. It usually tells you how many ohms it is on the back. Go forward and place wires on the speaker terminals and the board with the screw terminals.

Step Four: Testing

Your basic electronics are done at this point. You can plugin power, link, and test a Bluetooth unit. You will hear the loud *pop* when it turns on if you use the same amp I did. It is a cheap side effect! A DP-DT toggle switch between the speakers and the amplifier is an affordable solution. Will act as a mute button to allow you to stabilize the amp a few seconds before the speakers are activated.

Right now, the Bluetooth module fires your amp in full volume. You can control the work of any device you use, but adding a volume knob may still be a good idea. You can then turn the amp volume down and trigger the volume of the unit. It gives you the same audio level, but with fewer 'hissing' speakers. See the amplifier manual for incorporating a frequency potentiometer.

Step Five: Enclosure

Now that you have a decent sound speaker, you'd like it to look a little better than a bunch of wires. I'm not going to get into details here because you can take this in one million directions. I made a plain, black pine box, and mounted in front of a rustic cedar piece. To complete, I wired the above-listed resistor before the LED and hooked it into the power terminals on the amp. It gives a lovely light for the power indicator.

FAQS (How to Make a Bluetooth Speaker)

Can you make regular speakers Bluetooth?

With a cheap Bluetooth receiver, you can quickly transform your favourite speaker into a Bluetooth speaker. Just plug the Bluetooth receiver in the regular 3.5mm jack into your preferred set of stereo speakers (you probably need a cheap adapter), and turn it on both the Bluetooth receiver and your mobile device.

How do I convert wired speakers to wireless?

When a wired speaker is converted into a wireless sound device, you need a Bluetooth adapter. You may collect one and link the dots with a wide range of adapters to start listing for wireless sound. You may have speakers that function with wires

What are the components of a Bluetooth speaker?

A Bluetooth speaker's fundamental composition is simple: a speaker (or two!), a Bluetooth module, power and battery, and some resistor are typically needed. You are responsible for the material you want to use for the case or body of the speaker.
