There are various methods to get an email address from any LinkedIn profile. I will show you two ways for the same. The first one is to use some free tools to fetch an email address from the LinkedIn profile. The other would be to recognize the standard email patterns any company uses to its advantage.

First Method: Using Free Tools

Many tools are available in the market today that can help you fetch emails from the LinkedIn profile of any person. Most of the tools offer a freemium service. Let us see how you can use these tools!

All these tools offer a limit to the email fetching you can do using their free versions. However, if you use multiple tools together, you can get more than 200+ emails per month. 200+ emails for a month using free tools sounds like a good deal. However, you can always choose to buy premium versions of any tool you like and exceed this limitation.

First Bonus Tip

Most of these tools have a certain percentage of authenticity while fetching emails for you. So, buying a premium version may only increase your email searches but doesn’t guarantee the validity of these emails.

Here are the steps you can use to use any of the above-mentioned tools. All tools work in the same manner.

Step 1

Download the chrome extension of these tools. You can use any one tool to start with.

Step 2

Go to the LinkedIn profile of the person you want to fetch the email address of.

Step 3

Once you are on the profile, click on the extension in the top right corner of your browser extension panel. The tool will scan the profile and use a pop-up to display the email.

If the email is available in the tool, it will show you and you can copy it for your use. However, if the email is not available, you may either use some other tool and maybe some other profile.

Second Bonus Tip

Let us assume you want to search who is the marketing director of a company. The company is Yahoo. You want to pitch your product to this person. You may think of going to LinkedIn and using LinkedIn’s search bar for this. You may go and type in the company name and use the “marketing director” designation. This works well. But if you are not a LinkedIn premium user, LinkedIn may limit your searches.

Instead, let Google do this for you and save your LinkedIn searches. Go to Google and type in “designation + company name + LinkedIn“. For our example, it would be “marketing director Yahoo LinkedIn”. You will probably get a LinkedIn profile in the Google search results. Use the search results to get to the LinkedIn profile and save your searches.

Second Method: Understand Email Patterns

Every company or business has a standard email address. You will find these standard email patterns across every company. Here are some of the most commonly used email patterns.

Example: Profile Name is John Wick at ActualSimple

– John.wick@actualsimple(dot)com

The first method is you can go to the contacts page on their website and see if you can find some email of any person working there. Check the pattern of the email there. You can use the same email pattern for the profile you are looking for.

How To Check Email Address Validity

But how do you know if the email address is the correct one?

You would not want to send an email just to see it bounced and not reach your lead. This is where you can use some more free tools for checking email address validity. Although like any other tool, it also would not guarantee 100% surety. However, it will decrease your email bouncing by a huge margin.

Third Method: Use LinkedIn Contact Info

This method is not suitable for most cases. You can go to any profile on LinkedIn you want to get the email of. You can click on the “contact info” of that profile. If the person has mentioned their official business email address, you can find it there. Else, you will have to use the above two methods for finding the email address.

As per my personal experience, most people do not mention their business email address in any form in any part of their LinkedIn profile. This method should be your last resort when none of the above methods work.

As per my experience in sales and marketing, none of the above methods should be used alone. You need to use all three methods in parallel to see which method is providing you with the email address correctly. Moreover, it would be better to focus on checking the validity of any email address you fetch to ensure it reaches the correct person. There is no advantage in sending emails just to know they all bounced. This would not serve the purpose of reaching out to people.
