You get a chill when you wake up one morning. Everything that usually feels simple feels muddled. You might even feel overwhelmed or like you don't know how to solve your problems.

If this sounds familiar, you probably feel stuck. When we get stuck, it's hard to know how to dig ourselves out of our funk.

Here are five ways to get unstuck when everything seems impossible:

1. Stop trying to do everything at once.

When you're feeling overwhelmed and down, it can be tempting to try and do everything at once. After all, now is your chance to take control of your life! But if you spread yourself too thin, not much will get done.

Instead of trying so hard to do everything in one go (which is never a good idea), focus on one or two changes that would significantly impact your life and health. You can always add more later!

2. Take a minute to re-calibrate and do nothing.

When it comes to taking a break, I'm all for it. I don't mean just relaxing or chilling out, but stopping and doing nothing for a while.

You may be thinking, "I have no time for this! I need to get on with my day/week/life!" But if you can spare some time for this exercise, do it. It will allow you to reset your brain and re-calibrate yourself when feeling lost or uninspired.

You may think that taking time off is a sure sign that you aren't working hard enough, but trust me: taking regular breaks doesn't mean that you're not being productive.

Research shows that people who take frequent breaks tend to be more effective overall because they feel happier and more energized throughout their workday.

3. Listen to some music.

If you're feeling stifled and stuck, listening to music can help you get into a flow state. The right kind of music can create an environment where you flow more easily with your work and feel more productive.

Whether at work or home, or travelling, listening to music will make whatever activity you're doing feel more enjoyable.

4. Reward yourself.

Rewarding yourself can help you feel more motivated and get more done, even when you're not feeling your best.

For example, let's say that one of your goals is to make sure that you exercise three times per week. The reward for achieving this goal could be anything from buying yourself a nice dinner out with friends or treating yourself with something small like new clothes or jewellery after every ten days of exercising regularly (or however often).

Make sure your rewards are meaningful and realistic. Don't set up expectations that are too high, so they end up causing stress instead of excitement!

5. Join a mastermind group to bounce ideas off other people in your field.

You can turn things around when you're down in the dumps by joining a mastermind group. A mastermind group is a peer-to-peer mentorship program that consists of members who share similar interests and goals.

These groups exist to offer each other support, encouragement, and accountability as they pursue their goals and dreams.

Also, you'll be able to learn new things from your fellow mastermind members and bounce ideas off of them. This group can help expose new perspectives on old problems that might not have been apparent before!

We're not saying that you need to quit your job or anything drastic like that, but sometimes some tiny changes in your routine can do wonders for getting you out of a rut.

So when you feel like you're in one of these phases, permit yourself to make a change—and remember that it doesn't have to be permanent!
