Trust me, these habits can make your underwear sick.

Knowingly or unknowingly men have been practicing these habits for ages. Some of them are good for the health of your men's underwear and some are destroying your underwear. Therefore, I am here to guide you through my write-up, some good "underwear habits".

HOT WATER FOR WASHING UNDERWEAR

Washing your delicate underwear in hot water can damage the quality of the fabric used in your male underwear, regardless of style. Hot water can ruin the shape of your undies and how can we forget, color as well. But when you wash them in cold water, your delicate clothing stays in shape and colored.

If you are worried about the cleaning part, you shouldn't because just like hot water, warm or cool water is capable of cleaning the underwear if you have a good machine and detergent. Also, there is one more point which you need to know in case you are preferring a washing machine. Only Linen or towels are supposed to be washed at 190°F for disinfection.

WASHING HEAVILY STAINED CLOTHES AND UNDERWEAR TOGETHER

This habit is not acceptable in the case of men's underwear. You need to wash your mens underwear and other clothes especially stained ones separately because then you will end up with the worst results. Before washing them in a machine, you need to presoak them and then should be washed with hands, gently. If stains are bad go with stain remover before putting them into the washing machine.

Besides chemical stain remover, there are other ways to clean heavily stained men's underwear or clothes such as the usage of Lemon juice in the targeted area. Besides that, a mixture of vinegar and liquid detergents works very well in case of wine stains and traces of grass. Water and baking soda in a 3:1 ratio can also be considered.

STOP USING DETERGENT AND SOFTENER IN HUGE AMOUNT.

Just like excess of sweet is not good for your health similarly using detergents and softeners in a surplus amount is not good for the health of men's underwear. This can damage quality.

Excess use of detergent can clog the detergent container leading to an unpleasant smell. On the other hand, excess of softener can cause problems while rinsing. Therefore, it's very important to go through the indications mentioned on the packaging and use the measuring cup.

SOFTENER FOR ALL TYPES OF MEN'S UNDERWEAR

Can you expect briefs to provide you embracement like Men's G-string or can you expect G-string to provide Briefs like coverage? No, because different styles are designed for different occasions.

Similarly, when it comes to using softeners you cannot use the same type of softener for every male underwear. Fabric softener reduces the absorbing capability of a material over time. Because of which these are not advised in the case of microfiber, elastane, and spandex-based men's underwear.

STOP USING BLEACH FOR UNDERWEAR

STOP USING BLEACH FOR UNDERWEAR

Just imagine, when facial bleach can harm your facial skin so badly then what will bleach do to your male underwear especially when it is made out of elastane, lycra or spandex?

Chloride bleach can ruin the quality of fabric because it is an aggressive agent that attacks the fibers as a result, they get weak. Also, it affects the elasticity of undies.

Well, cleaning tips are done, it's time to make you well-versed with some good drying habits. No more tumble drying. Let your men's underwear stay under sunlight, but not in direct sunlight as it can fade away the color of your lingerie. Place your male lingerie where the reach of sun-rays are less.

I hope that from now onwards you will following these measures religiously.
