When human beings are immersed in challenging waters of uncertainty, self-discipline is the key to tackle the harmful feelings of anxiety and get back the well-being.

We experienced an excellent example of this throughout the last year. In my own experience, we must step up and decide to be proactive and not reactive with the things that we are able to handle and manage to change. And I mention it again, the well-being. There is too much talk about it everywhere, but for me, it's a matter of three fundamentals that have to be in equilibrium: Mentality, Physicality, and Food. And I will explain it briefly.

I will describe Mentality. There is no better personal mindset now if you are convinced that everything you perform daily is aligned with your life goals and living principles. Positive thinking, gratitude, and living the here and now complete the first column for well-being.

Physicality I will describe it as having your body the closest to your goal as possible. So, if you want a strong body, fit, skinny, ripped, whatever it satisfies you or your needing for your health, focus on it. The Body Fat Percentage (more important than the Body Mass Index "BMI"), the physical measurements, the metabolic and lipid panel, the blood count, the vitals, as the blood pressure and the heart rate depending on the activity developed, and also the sugar levels complete the second column for the well-being.

Lastly, the Food, which stands as the gas of the engine. People must understand the vitality of acquiring the best food for ourselves. I will illustrate an analogy: if you take a long road trip, you want to make sure that all your resources are the best and safest possible for the car and the riders, right? Then use the same analogy for the road trip that lasts your whole life! Eating with moderation, with calorie control, and knowing the balance of carbo – protein - fat that each specific body needs. Eat the best food for the only body you will have in the entire lifetime!

Something that I have done during uncertainty or anxiety is looking to go back to my essential healthy habits — staying as positive as possible, monitoring the health of my body, eating the number of calories I need with healthier options. For me, the daily diet should base on 2700 calories. Taking over the control of the diet is a must for me because I have a family history of high blood pressure and heart disease. Being an enthusiast in this matter, I love the help that the smartwatches in the market put out to monitor your outcomes and vitals, but I strongly recommend have the tutoring of a specialist or multiple specialists to keep everything under control.

So let's feel in the perfect timing of coming up with a plan for these habits, for instance, weight lifting, cardio workout, yoga, any discipline that you enjoy, basketball, running or tennis; in my personal case is swimming. By the way, swimming has healed me several times. The first time, I had serious L5-S1 disk injury very likely to go under surgery - yeap, that is the one that hurts when you are a rookie lifting recklessly anything you have in front of you - and helped me to dodge the surgery. Other time, it helped me to grief the loss of a close family member. And more recently, to start taking the routine back after the long pause we had in 2020.

After adding the habits mentioned to your personal routine, you will have a feeling of compromise with yourself in fulfilling the goals you have in your sight, you will improve metabolism of food, and have a better shape and healthier body.

I should have progress and some improvements in the next few weeks meeting the habits. So far, I am in love with the process I've taken back for my equilibrium in well-being.
