What Are Some Competitors Of Uber In 2023

I assume many of you book a cab ride very often. And I guess it could be Uber for many of you. Uber has dominated the market as a cab service. Uber started in 2009 in San Fransisco and has become quite an established brand. If you stand on any street, you can easily spot a few uber vehicles on their routine. Booking a ride or a cab is very easy. Uber may be the leading company out there, but there is tough competition for it as well. In this article, we will look at some competitors of Uber and provide a brief comparison.

Uber is present in almost 72 countries as of December 2022. Uber also provides services such as package delivery, freight transport, food delivery, and courier apart from ride-booking. It has allowed Uber to venture into domains apart from its primary ride-booking service.

A Brief Overview Of Uber

  • Founded: 2009
  • Founders: Garrett Camp, Travis Kalanick
  • Headquarters: San Francisco, California, U.S.

Uber can be considered the pioneer of ride booking for all of us. It provides mobility as a service and ride-hailing as the primary service. You can use Uber’s application and book a ride that would pick you up from your doorstep and drop you at your destination.

What Uber is doing differently is that it started its ventures into food delivery, package delivery, courier, and even freight transport. This is what expanded the business of Uber and outperformed its competitors. As of now, competitors to Uber are not providing many services other than transportation facilities.
