No real introduction is needed for this list. I have made notes on whether they are generally safe to read, but if I forgot a scene or a warning let me know in the comments! Read on, fujos, read on.

10. Kowamote no Rinjin ga Omega datta Toki no Taishohou

It's at #10, but that's slightly deceptive of me. Honestly, I think this is one of my all-time favorite mangas. I own the first physical volume and I preordered the second, which says a LOT since I rarely buy physical copies unless I pick them up in stores on a whim. The bottom is a shy, punk omega with tattoos and he's goddamn gorgeous (or maybe I have a very specific type that is rarely ever catered to). 1000/10 recommend, it's also completely safe!

9. Vampire Taboo

Take my heed, this is literally crack. It's addictive, it kinda doesn't make sense, and by god you'll spend too much money on it. I found it cute, definitely takes the edge off of the next entry on this list...

8. Killing Stalking 

Not quite a BL, which is why it's rated so low. The art is good but the plot, storytelling and characters are all pretty mid. It's classic literature though so it deserves its spot on the list. It IS extremely triggering for every reason under the sun, but I think it's something we all must experience once. 

7. Paws & Claws / Don't Mess with Pooch

Where do I even start? Transformation, puppies, sassy uke, it has the whole nine years! Highly recommend, it's generally safe except for a few close encounters with other men but the ML is a good guy and the MC is a baddie. Also, if you read the Paws & Claws translation, the MC calls the ML "boy" but it's better translated and imagined as "puppers", enjoy!

6. Mission: Save the Hunter 

Also know as "Because of the Will, I Delayed My Death for a While", M:StH is a heartbreaking tale of a man haunted by a war he'd fought in as a child solider. He was already dealing with suicidal thoughts, so his comrades gave him missions they needed him to complete before dying, such as run 1000 miles or read 300 romance novels. Then, a new challenge arises — the same dungeon that killed all his friends has returned. Very cute, very demure and a very good read! It's overall very safe iirc, although obviously suicidal thoughts are very rampant.

5. Love of Cloud and Rain

The best stories incorporate the traditional mythology. Honestly, just read it to the end. It's completely safe, with just a bit of silly drama. 

4. Believe My Sign 

Zombie apocalypse stories will always be one of my sweet spots. The ML is a bit of a red flag in some aspects, but there's a valid reason for that! Overall, he's a pretty solid guy. There is a dubcon scene in the beginning, with coerced and rough sex, so if that's triggering for you then maybe skip this one. Iirc, it's only the one scene so if you can stick it out, I'd definitely recommend it!

3. How My Daddies Became Mates

A/B/O dynamics, yankee MCs, AND it's not toxic? Sign me the fuck up! It's actually a really sweet story about two punks falling in love. If you like strong ukes/bottoms/omegas, this one's for you!

2. Dysfunctional Family Therapy

I'm a sucker for found family, what can I say? Everything about this story is 10/10, and it's chock-full of tooth rotting fluff. If you want a nice break from toxic yaoi, I highly recommend this one.

Mr A's Farm. Trust, it's so peak. Pretty characters, pretty plot, pretty pwp — it has everything! I mean everything.
