As of my most recent knowledge update in September 2021, Bangladesh was in the process of constructing its inaugural nuclear power plant, the Ruppur Nuclear Power Plant. The following information pertains to the Ruppur Nuclear Power Plant:

Location: The Ruppur Nuclear Power Plant is situated in the Ruppur region of the Pabna District in northwestern Bangladesh.

The initial shipment of uranium for the Ruppur nuclear power plant, which arrived at the Dhaka airport yesterday, has been transported to the project site this afternoon under strict security measures in accordance with international guidelines.

According to an official from the power plant, the consignment reached the Ruppur plant in Pabna's Ishwardi upazila at approximately 1:25pm after departing from Dhaka earlier this morning.

The security protocol for the transportation of the radioactive fuel was led by the Bangladesh Army, as stated by a senior official from the Ruppur project who requested anonymity.

The radioactive fuel was transported in specialized vehicles accompanied by vehicles from the armed forces, fire brigade, health service personnel, and other necessary security arrangements, as reported by sources.

The Ruppur Nuclear Power Plant, with a total cost of $12.65 billion, is currently under construction in Ishwardi, Pabna. The two units of the plant will have a combined capacity to generate 2,400 MW of electricity. It is anticipated that Unit-1 will be operational by the following year.
