The kids are alright.

Two things always ring true in writing fiction, especially for Teen and Young Adult readers. Representation matters, and you can't fake the support. No matter how you say it.

Nowhere is this more apparent than with stories meant Children to Young Adults, they almost demand an honest perspective on your story. You don't have to be queer to write queer characters, however caring matters. How you write character is important.

If you say a character is gay, have them express same sex feelings, don't say they did. A decade after all is said and done. It leaves a bad taste in reader's mouths. It shows a real lack of empathy for others different than yourself. Many readers will find that disingenuous and tedious in nature.

The fact is having LGBT characters can help young people self identify and express feelings. Also, the more we normalize all relationship options, the less people have to feel awkward or ashamed about their feelings as they discover them. Most time books are young people discover how and why adult relationships work. It's a first line of understanding for a lot of people.

I'm A Gay Wizard (published in print in October on Amazon. ) and Dragon Witch(on going currently on Wattpad.)

Dragon Witch

I'm A Gay Wizard.

The newer generation of writers are choosing to take on the LGBT experience with their own style and flair. Showing readers the love, joy and heartbreak. Also, heartbreak isn't the dire end of everything. I have so much hope for this generation. Showing everyone the Queer experience is beautiful and well rounded.

That goes along with spellcasting at two hot and simply must attend magic schools. Serious, everyone will want an enrollment invite, or to be joining Sleeping Blossoms. I mean who wouldn't want to join a magic assassin guild? (DragonWitch)

Both writers flesh out worlds, characters, and really make you feel like you are just following along. (You really get that " in school" experience) You want to be in that group. It's that good, I promise you, you'll be working on your own spellbook by the time you're done! As readers we deserve engaging stories like this. The thing is somany great stories get overlooked because people don't search for stories on their own.

Honestly, great time and effort is put into crafting each world, it really does ring through. Both books have different angles for story telling. However, both tell an amazing story of how to navigate the journey of school and be yourself. Neither book suggests hiding who you are or changing for anyone, impressive to be sure.

The impressive thing is I'm A Gay Wizard is making the leap from it's home on Wattpad to print. While Dragon Witch is just starting its journey there. Although DragonWitch is offering a more Lesbian look at things and In this this author's opinion a more realized understanding of magical systems. Teaching magic that can be used is in my opinion, pretty great.

Compared to earlier Wizarding books.

In this day and age we could all use some magical thinking in our daily lives. Of course anything that encourages readership to rise is amazing and super great. That's where people under appreciate Wattpad. Considering it a place for place for melodramatic fiction and things that are fluff, but I say look a little bit harder and you'll find diamonds in the rough.

Wattpad has been offering its service to aspiring writers for a decade. Many writers are getting a chance to grow, and hone their skill no matter the genre or skill level. The App offers everyone a place to build a body of work and even a fan base

From Teen Fiction to Adult Horror and many more inspiring and blended elements. Wattpad is really offering a way for new and old writers to get their stories out to a waiting public.
