Money is a vital thing no one would ever have enough of. Money is essential for life and happiness to an extent. Yet, this constant thirst of money doesn’t supply us with the innovation or method to earn money.

Making money shouldn’t be your reason to “work.” From time to time, it shouldn’t even feel like work as it is your aspiration that you’re growing. This world doesn’t have enough people who contain a fiery heart. We study not for the grades, we study and work hard to reach the life we desire. To soak in more information and skills to become more knowledgeable. To become equipped for all the challenges and hardships life throws at us.

It all starts with a spark

When deep thinking begins, I always look at the problem in 360 degrees. Digging into the problem only creates a dark hole for yourself to get stuck in.

Observe closely and carefully on all sides. Then ask yourself these questions.

Begin — realisation

1. If I were to die tomorrow, would I be satisfied with my life?

2. Am I happy with my current job?

3. Why do I need money? Etc. — You may be saying, “Why have you added this question? It has the word money in it!” We all do what we do for a different reason. For some, it may be for someone else — a mum, dad, child or spouse. If this is you, they are helping you realise you can make an impact or change to at least one life, even if you earn 1 dollar.

It all starts with realising our lives aren’t the best they can be, there’s still room for improvement. We will deserve more if we try.

Stimulating the Solution — purpose, direction and motivation

1. What skills, passions and dreams do I possess?

2. What are the issues in this world that I am worried about?

3. What are some problems I or other people around me have experienced in our everyday lives?

4. How can I add value to others’ lives or the future?

5. Can I solve them? Can you make it more convenient? Now can I decode it at the lowest possible cost?

6. What can I do now to pull myself closer to my dream? What should I do next? Etc.

Finding your why is crucial as it opens your mind to all the possibilities and how much impact you can do to this world. All animals, plants, and nature are relying on us to recuperate into a greener Earth. All humans are relying on each other to build a sustainable life for everyone. From poverty to race, there are so many problems with us today, we need everyone to take part.

Your purpose gives you direction, lifts you up when you’re down and continues to cheer you on the other side. It is almost like a mother and father teaching their little baby to walk. She walks from her father slowly, one step at a time, to her mother’s arms.

With no purpose, you’ll only keep digging and pushing. Never meeting a place to stop and breathe. Always feeling lost inside. When you fall, you’ll have no urge or reason to stand back up again.

With purpose, when lowlights reach us, we may still feel broken down. However, remembering that it is an opportunity to learn, we can get started straight away by reviewing our purpose.

When creating a successful and meaningful source of income, asking this question immediately takes us through a wrong turn. How am I going to make money?

It blinds us into only viewing money, not life. Our lives aren’t only about money. There are so many more things that contribute to a significant yet memorable life. Therefore, the questions I have posed all give rise to the many ideas hiding inside our brains.

Further Investment — when success hits

1. Rethink your purpose and go through the purpose questions.

2. How can I improve what I’ve done so far to reach closer to my goal?

3. What risks can I take?

4.What will I need to do that? How will I get what I need? Etc.

Success! Even though we have succeeded, rethinking our motive on this particular project, once in a while, can also remind you of your original intention. While in the world of competition between companies, our aim in the first place may be lost or blurry. Therefore, these questions will trigger you to bring them back to light.

After success, we may be worried that we will fall back to the ground. However, only with continuous improvement, innovations and risks will we be able to perform ahead of time and create a greater impact on the world.

Think change, not money. Think passion, not money. Think humanity, not money. Etc.

Every billionaire created their companies for change and a brighter future for all. How about business? Business isn’t all about money. It still requires the dreams and aims to become successful. Here are just a few.

- Elon Musk — CEO and founded Tesla to reduce the carbon emissions produced by petrol cars.

- Jack Ma — founded the Alibaba Group to further the e-commerce system and to allow Chinese people to have access to the internet.

- Mark Zuckerberg — CEO and founded Facebook “to help connect people.”

This is also one of the crucial ways billionaires keep and attract their top workers. They allow opportunities for their workers to strive towards their dreams. Their working environment sometimes puts their lives in danger, they have long working hours and are always exhausted after work. Yet they don’t care, because they are getting closer to their target.

Many people complain about the long hours or little pay they receive. How can people with dreams work for long hours and even have their lives put on the line?

It is the power of the dream!

Even with a 9–5 job, it doesn’t stop you from chasing your dreams, passions and creating an extra source of income. What about the mornings and evenings after work? What happens then?
