What It's Like To Be A Small YouTuber
Where do I even start about YouTube? Well, as this is my first post, I suppose I should start with myself, first. My name is Sophie Alice, I'm a 20-year-old living in England, studying two college courses, those being a Diploma in Counselling Skills Level 3, and a Diploma in Assisted Teaching in Schools Level 2. I was studying Functional Skills Maths Level 2, but then I learnt my name wasn't on the exam register and that course kinda crashed and burned.

This time I became tired of my daydreams even faster. Not that I didn’t like all those things I imagined, and everything was really very exciting, but the fact that it was all taking place only in my mind, left me quite a lot to wish for.
Lara AlicePublished 7 years ago in JournalMoney = Stress
Living paycheck to paycheck is no way for anyone to live. In fact, you won't be living. Instead, you will be like millions of other people, stressed about how you will make it from one week to the next. If you find yourself in this situation, be assured you are not the only one.
Jasmine DavisPublished 7 years ago in JournalThe Bad Business of Free
Authors work hard on their books. Independent writers not only have to work hard finishing their masterpieces but they also have to figure out distribution and marketing as well. Seems like a fair trade off for doing what you love, doesn't it? Well on top of all of that, you learn that people don't want to pay for your books; they want them for free.
Edward AndersonPublished 7 years ago in JournalI Hate My Job...Here's What I Learned
My first job was a delight, my second job not as quite. My second job was as a pharmacy technician for a major multi-million dollar drug store and it was a nightmare. I was in the busiest store within our district, underpaid, with bad management and at times horrible customers. At the time I would have given anything to get away from the job that was sucking the life out of me one prescription bottle at a time, but looking back, I am happy I stuck with it for as long as I did because it gave me a well-defined list of life lessons:

Dyslexia - What You Don't Know
Let's start off by stating that I am dyslexic. Many of the sentences I write may or may not make sense, so I do apologise in advance.
The Secret City Manifesto
When you've come to a point of inertia, a dead end, or walked a path that has led to failure, the only real option left is some kind of action. Inertia is the opposite of action so one must believe in kinetic force. Kinetic force is moving, active energy, but where and what it will accomplish in the end is not the goal. The goal is to simply get the boulder moving. So what is the motivation? To echo some of the words from a famous manifesto: "The price of existence is eternal warfare." In this case it's a spiritual warfare; warfare against those who oppose experimentation, freedom of expression and the taste of the unknown. This shall be their clarion call and their impetus to move forward without fear.
Ryan MadejPublished 7 years ago in JournalWhy Are So Many People Continuing to Read Books Despite Living in a Digital World?
In 2015, over 2.6 billion physical books were sold according to the Publisher's Association. This amount means that there has been a 7% increase in the total amount of physical book sales than the year before. This is the key evidence to support the idea that more and more people are reading physical books even though we are in the midst of a digital age.
How To Budget Successfully
Budgeting is not something you typically learn in school, but it is a life skill that everyone needs to know and master. I will show you how I learned to budget as a kid and how I adapted it to my adult and entrepreneurial life.
Alexius McCoyPublished 7 years ago in JournalQuitting My Job As A Teacher Was The Best Decision I Have Made
It's midnight on a Sunday evening and I am not asleep. I have to be awake at four o'clock, but my brain seems unable to comprehend this fact. My body, like my brain, is completely and utterly exhausted and desires the quiet solstice of a good night's sleep. However, I know that even when sleep does finally come hours later, it will be tumultuous and fretful.
Haydn GreenPublished 7 years ago in JournalThe Honest Writer
There are times when a biased spin is appropriate for a piece of writing, times when it is entirely intentional to make a point in favour of one side or another. Other times, a more balanced approach is preferred or necessary depending on the type of written work, the publication, or the intended audience.
Sapphire RavenclawPublished 7 years ago in Journal7 Things Anyone Planning To Attend College Should Consider
1. College Isn't For Everyone Many college students change their mind about their decision to further their education, putting themselves into hundreds of thousands of dollars into debt, wasted for nothing. Be sure to put a lot of thought into your decision, especially if you seem unsure about whether or not you really want to go, or about what major you want to study. There's always next year when it comes to going anyway.
