The charming seaside Vietnamese city of Quy Nhon would be a marvellous place for the discerning visitor presenting many absorbing experiences to enjoy and attractions to discover. At Quy Nhon, you will encounter lovely beaches, picturesque mountain landscapes, engrossing cultural attractions and tranquil rice fields. There are a number of ideal ways to reach this captivating coastal city and the main travel options are described in more detail below.

By bus

You will find that Quy Nhon is situated some distance from the large cities of Vietnam; it happens to be located 652 km away from Ho Chi Minh City and 1,070 km from the capital, Hanoi. There would be several reputable bus companies which operate services to Quy Nhon on direct routes; the majority of these operate on Highway 1A. As all of these happen to be sleeper buses featuring beds or long seats, you could lie down and get some rest or sleep during your journey.

Generally, you could expect a journey of around 20 hours to reach Quy Nhon from Hanoi and 14 hours to make the trip from Ho Chi Minh City. The exact amount that you would have to pay for your ticket will depend on the place at which you board the bus. Should you have adequate time on your hands and desire to travel economically, taking the bus is an excellent option.

By private car

On the other hand, if your budget is more accommodating or you happen to be pressed for time, you may choose to travel to Quy Nhon in a rented car, preferably with the services of a driver. Whilst naturally, this mode of travel will be more expensive than taking a bus, it would provide you with a comfortable and hassle-free trip. You may also have complete control over your journey; you could instruct your driver to travel more slowly if you desire to take in the picturesque views on the way and stop at key attractions as well.

By air

You will find that all of the local aviation companies operating in Vietnam happen to provide direct flights to Quy Nhon’s, Phu Cat Airport. The airfare for your tickets will depend on the time, season and exact service that you opt for. You could easily travel from Phu Cat Airport to the centre of the city, with several bus services available for the journey. These buses would drop you at Nguyen Tat Thanh Street and you could take a taxi or motorbike taxi to reach your accommodation. A Quy Nhon resort to consider that you could reach via Phu Cat Airport and a drive of around 50 minutes would be Avani Quy Nhon Resort. Such properties also offer airport transfers which is a convenient option to consider.

By train

Visitors will find that there happen to be two train stations in the environs of Quy Nhon, namely Quy Nhon Station and Dieu Tri Station. When coming from Hanoi, you will find that the train would depart from Ha Noi Station and make its way to Dieu Tri Station; this station would be situated 15 km from the city centre of Binh Dinh. The time taken for this journey will be around 22 hours.

You could also travel to Quy Nhon from Ho Chi Minh City; this journey should take you around 10 hours. After this journey, travellers may choose to disembark at Quy Nhon Station (located in the city of Quy Nhon itself) or at Dieu Tri Station. These trains which operate every day of the year depart from Sai Gon Station. If you are disembarking at Dieu Tri Station, you could easily avail yourself of a taxi to travel to Quy Nhon’s city centre and the ride should take you approximately half an hour.
