Most of the people start dreaming for a good career from the beginning of their academic life with the mindset of providing best effort and firm commitment to the company. Their heart is filled with hope for a good environment, well behaved management and co-workers. Dream continues to earn sufficient for the livings, provide for family and get an expensive car, a beautiful home and what not. We don’t know if they can fulfill their dreams or not but for sure we know a real-life struggle begins when they step into the private sector jobs.

Here I will describe behind the scenes of a private sector job, what is going on.

First of all, the thing which is to talk about this is working time. In most of the private sectors there is a fixed in time but there is no fixed out time. Reporting boss says to the employee “Do you work in the Supreme Court? You are working for the private sector!!! How do you hope for an 8 hours workday?” The Employee goes back in the history of his mind & then sees that laborers assembled at the Haymarket Square in Chicago on May 4, 1886 and took out a rally for eight-hour work day; a bombing attack was mounted on them. Police fired on and lost 11 lives.

When an employee asks his boss for a casual leave then the boss shows the high court. It seems that the employee has to stand in custody and he has to face so many questions like “why do you need a leave? What do you do during leave? Who will do your jobs during leave? And so on.” If he thinks about earning leave, that is the dream like getting the full moon in the sky.

Although they get a little bit yearly increment but the promotion is not so easy. If they work hard & soul from their best level of professionalism to develop their career beautifully but all credits goes to the people who are facedly well known & who are oiling the boss. Or if you have a good reference then it is a paradise on the earth.

The salary structure, it is a matter of frustration & very disappointed. The owner of the organization keeps ready all the facilities for the big guy because if the big guy is happy then it will be very easy to run the organization. The big guy is also so smiling, getting all the facilities. The big guy has already captured all the techniques on how to control the employees. On the other hand the employees are working hard day by day but they don’t get fair facilities according to their duties & responsibilities.

The resignation & termination both are very horrible. Although the employees are instantly terminated without any prior notice, they are not paid any termination wages. Sometimes they are forced to resign from their job without any reason.

The Working load is very unbearable and too much. If they talk about how it is possible to take too much working load? Then the reporting boss says that the door is always open for you, you can leave the job. Thinking about the living support of his family, the employee has to continue the job.

It seems that for thousands of years, this culture has been going on. Compliance rules & regulations are just written down on the papers. Do we know how many employees can fulfil their dreams struggling against this situation? & how many dreams are silently fallen down? Do you know how many days they have to wait for a shining tomorrow? Will there be born a big guy like a “Che Guevara” who will talk about the rights of the employee??
