Buick Achievers Scholarship Program

This Scholarship program is funded by the GM Foundation for high school seniors, high school graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduate students.

The General Motors college scholarships program rewards those students who have succeeded both inside and outside of the classroom and who may not be able to attend college without good finance.

The Buick Achievers Scholarship Program is providing 50 Buick Achievers Scholarships of up to $25,000 renewable for up to four years, and also one additional year for those registering a qualified five-year engineering program.

The scholarships can also be used towards the total cost of tuition, fees, books, supplies, required equipment, room and board, and other allowable expenses for the students.

It is important to know that the funds for the scholarship come from the GM Foundation, not the General Motors Company. GM Foundation is a 501c (3) organization that is separate from GM.

Eligibility;

• Applicants must be high school seniors, high school graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduate students.
• The applicant should plan to enroll himself/herself in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college or university based in the U.S. or Puerto Rico for the entire 2016-17 academic year. Proprietary and online schools are not eligible for this scholarship
• Plane of studying Engineering/Technology or select Design related programs of study.
• Possess a high interest in pursuing a career in the automotive or related industries using these areas of study.
• Applicants must be U.S. citizens and have permanent residence in the United States or Puerto Rico.

Buick Achievers Scholarship Program Founded By GM

The Buick Achievers Scholarship Program rewards students who have succeeded both inside and outside of the classroom—and who may not be able to attend college without financial assistance. It’s a reward for what you’ve made of yourself and the difference you are making for others.

The offerings provided by the Buick Achiever Scholarship Program are;

An amount of $25,000 per year for 50 first-time freshmen students or existing college students which is renewable will be again for up to four years and one additional year for those entering a qualified five-year engineering program

This scholarship is funded by the GM Foundation which has donated hundreds of millions of dollars to deserving charities, educational organizations, and disaster relief efforts worldwide since 1976.

The Buick Achievers Scholarship Program continues to be one of the nation’s most impactful scholarship programs every year.

The Buick Achievers Scholarship Program offers a Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) courses with a minimum GPA of 3.0 which is open for the residents of all 50 States. The status of enrollment is Full-time.

Eligibility for Buick Achievers scholarship program

1. The applicant for this scholarship must have plans to enroll himself or herself in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college or university based in the U.S. or Puerto Rico for the entire academic year. Proprietary and online schools are not eligible for this type of scholarship

2. The applicant must have plans to have a major in a specified course of study that emphasis on Engineering, Technology, or select Design and Business related programs of study.

3. Show a very high intensity of interest for pursuing and getting a career in the field of the automotive or related industries using these areas of study.

4. The applicant for this scholarship must be United States U.S. citizens and have permanent residence in the United States US or Puerto Rico.
