Bloggers. We love them, we know them, some of us are them.

Supporting a blogger is one of the most important things when it comes to their passion, career, or hobby. There's no better way of showing your love and pride for them by supporting in even the most simple of ways.

So today I am going to give you five examples of how you can support the bloggers you know either in your life or online.

1- Read Their Work

The easiest way to support someone's blogging work is by actually reading what they put out. Whether their content is monthly, fortnightly, or even several times a week. Reading their work will give them one more read on their stats, showing them that people are enjoying what they produce.

If you really like it, you could even leave a comment at the bottom of their post showing support -- or better yet, refer to something in the post itself. Questions, sharing whether you're going to try something, or just compliment their writing are all great comments to add to their work.

And for those posts where you're able to leave a like: Press that button!

2- Retweet or Share Their Content

Whether it's used or not, the majority of people have at least one social media account these days. Sharing the blogger's article to that social media platform helps encourage others to read their work and potentially share it to their pages, and perhaps even (as above) leave some likes and comments!

3- Use Their Affiliate Links and Discount Codes

Did you know that a lot of affiliate links still work if you don't buy the exact item it's linked to? On sites like Amazon, the link is remembered for 24 hours. Meaning, if you bought something within that time, the blogger would still get a small commission.

If there is something you're interested in getting, why not utilise an affiliate code or safe yourself some money with a percentage off? Help yourself and those around you!

4- Donations

Some bloggers may simply have a PayPal link. Others may link sites such as Patreon or Ko-Fi.

Donations aren't necessary for you to do, but if you truly love their work and want to take your support a step further, then a one-off or monthly payment is an excellent way to show that. You will be helping them to cover their website fees, items they need for future content, or just income towards their business. Not to mention the guaranteed smile it will put on their face.

5- Purchase Their Content

Some bloggers will have their own items for sale. Be it eBooks, merchandise, handmade items, or anything they have been creative enough to come up with to produce.

This is something the blogger will have taken time to make and put out there to the world. If you aren't a fan or don't need what they're selling, then that's fine. If you do like it, or you think it'll make a lovely gift for somebody, then why not?

Small businesses put the most amount of care into packaging their orders. Making each and every purchase feel unique and loved. Receiving the package is its own experience which you have to try!

It's difficult to understand just how much someone appreciates their small business being supported if you haven't been there yourself. The excitement that your idea is taking off and people are interested is such a wonderful feeling to have.

The exact same feeling would apply to me whenever my posts had several reads in a day, or I earned some small money by working with businesses. I didn't make a lot, but to me it was huge.

Support is such a huge and important thing, especially to those who are doing self-employed work. Sure, your blogger friend may not be making a career out of it, they may never plan to. But that doesn't mean these brilliant opportunities can't come their way.

So dive right in with them and show them that their risk to pursue it was beyond worth it.
