Hello, God...are you up there?

Hello. Hello. HELLO!!!!!

Hello, who is making all that racket...what do you want little molecule?

How rude...Is that God?.

No, its not.

Michael the Archangel?

It's Azaziel...do you really think that God or Michael has the time for every minute detail of human existence. What do you want?

Minute...MINUTE!!! Do you call trying to roast us alive like turkey for the Thanksgiving oven...MINUTE. NO! I don't want to talk to a minor god. I want to talk to the big Cheese. Where is God anyway. I'm starting to think you guys have staged a coup and God is locked away somewhere...or is she or he dead?

Azaziel: "Watch your insolence and blasphemy...I ought to crank up that heat that you are talking about a little more, just for that. Then let the entire world know that it was on account of your badmouthing celestial majesty that they got even hotter. Plus, that sounds more like a Beelzebub/Human occurrence.

God is Busy with watching '1000 Ways To Die, no time for worrying about you earthlings finally ushering in the beginnings of your own apocalypse".

"Do you mean to tell me that you guys are not aware of the devasting heat that's killing and scorching us down here". I asked in complete consternation, how can they possibly not know what is going on down here.

"If the heat is bad then its your own fault. Solve the matter yourselves and leave us to plan your ultimate fate and demise". The narcissistic angel answered.

"Hell no. You guys better do something or we will stop worshipping you completely".

Azaziel burst out laughing. "Worshipping. Since when does humanity remember that word, except when it pertains to themselves and they want something".

The clouds parted and the angel deigned to peek down at who had the temerity and audacity to be yelling at him. The heat him in the face like a devil escaping a red hot oven.

"OOOF. I see what you mean. And you earthlings haven't even visited Hell yet. This is nothing compared. What is your name mortal". He asked.

"Oh no. You won't get that outta me". I replied. The less he knew about me the better.

A new voice suddenly joined the conversation.

GOD: Azaziel, why are you being rude to my earthly children? I know it's hot down there below. But have they not been warned of climate change...Yet will not listen".

"Sorry Mother...I told her you are busy".

GOD: "I am never too busy to listen to my children. Hello my Dove...I will send you help as soon as possible. Azaziel, go down to Earth now and make things right".

Azaziel: "But, Mother...".

"Now, Azaziel".

"Yes Ma'am".

"Thank you God". I yelled up...but She was already gone.

The Fallen

'Dove' watched as the angel landed on earth, his wings kind of melted into his back...clothes appeared where his angel whites had been. Now he looked like any ordinary earthling.

"Add some color to those white duds, dude. Pure white will send a certain vibe, too egotistic...it might say". He wiggled his finger and looked more human-ish presentable.

"Jesus...why is it so hot". Azzie said, fanning himself with his hands.

"I though you could ask him that question, seeing that you all hang out up there".

"We don't feel things up there like you do down here. This is bad".

He beamed us, or whatever, to my house, I gave him directions. We watched TV weather reports, listened to the news and saw videos and such of what the heat was doing to everyone. Then we started walking so he could see what the heat was like first hand.

A car filled with half naked girls slowed as they passed, wolf whistling at my guest.

Azaziel stood staring and grinning. They invited him to join them to the swimming pool, totally oblivious to me walking beside him. He jumped right in...and off they went as he waved to me.

I stood dumbstruck...How had he fallen so quickly. God must not know him very well.

The heat cranked up a few notches. Was that my fault or the blasted fallen angel...Because he was forbidden to consort with human things. Oh God, they must have turned him. Those half-naked beatch'ing witches.

My little window AC was barely helping. Fans only circulated the same warm heat in the other rooms. He was gone for a whole week, while the heat happily burned away.

Meanwhile...Azaziel was learning.

  • Moral philosophy, vice in excess: greed that burns through resources, anger that scorches relationships, pride that overheats the ego until it warps.

  • In Nature's way, wrongdoing disturbs cosmic equilibrium. The world responds with storms, droughts, or fire—not as punishment, but as a reflection of inner disorder.

  • In psychology, collective cruelty creates a “heated” society: tense, reactive, inflamed. People feel it in their bodies—tight chests, clenched jaws, restless nights.

A metaphorical heat in the temperature of a world out of alignment with its own wisdom.

......

Material reality, human actions—rooted in greed, apathy, or short-term thinking—do contribute to the planet’s warming.

  • Excess consumption driven by desire and status.

  • Neglect of stewardship rooted in convenience or denial.

  • Systems built on exploitation that treat land and people as fuel.

Here, “sin” becomes a poetic shorthand for behaviors that ignore interdependence. The Earth warms not because it judges us, but because physics responds to what we do.

........

🔥 The Philosophical Fusion: When Inner Heat Meets Outer Heat

The most interesting question is whether these two heats—spiritual and physical—are actually separate. This past week Azaziel had learned a lot about human heat. Both spiritual and physical.

He liked it a lot.

  • Environmental ethics suggests the planet reflects our inner state: a fevered Earth mirrors a fevered humanity.

  • Process philosophy sees reality as relational; moral disorder ripples outward into ecological disorder.

  • Cosmology treats the world as a living being whose climate responds to human virtue or vice.

The planet’s rising temperature is not just a scientific event but a symbolic one—a sign that humanity’s inner climate is overheated with conflict, consumption, and disconnection.

🔥 A darker framing

The world is a great body, and human sin is a fever in its blood.
Every act of cruelty is a spark.
Every act of greed is a coal.
Every act of indifference is a slow-burning ember.

And the Earth, ancient and patient, warms beneath the weight of our un-tempered fire.

.......

🔥 Azaziel Got Hot Under the Collar

Azaziel woke up sweating like he’d run a marathon in a wool coat.
He cracked one eye open, looked around, and muttered,
“Who turned the thermostat up to Drama Level 9?”

He checked the oceans.
They were simmering like a pot of gossip.
He checked the forests.
The trees were fanning themselves.
He checked the mountains.
They were sweating through their snowcaps like nervous comedians.

Finally, he sighed and said,
“Alright… which one of you humans left your sins lying around again?” The girls giggled, thinking him funny.

Because humans—bless their chaotic little hearts—had been dropping misdeeds everywhere like socks on the floor.
Greed over here.
Cruelty over there.
A whole pile of “I’ll deal with it later” shoved under the cosmic bed.

And every time they did, the world felt a little heat rise in her veins.

Not the poetic kind.
The literal kind.
The “I need an iced latte/coffee and a nap” kind.

So Azaziel decided to hold a meeting.

He gathered humanity together—every last one of them—and cleared his throat.

“Listen,” he said, “I love y’all. Truly. You’re adorable. You’re creative. You make great love and music. But you’re also messy. And your mess is making me sweat like a sinner in a sauna.”

Humans blinked.

One raised a hand.
“So… you’re saying our bad behavior is making you hot?”

Azaziel smiled at that one..at the double meaning...he nodded.
“Yes. And sometimes not in the fun way.”

Another human piped up.
“Is this… metaphorical heat or actual heat?”

The Fallen rolled his traitorous angelic eyes..
“Both. When you lie, cheat, steal, exploit, ignore, deny, and pretend you don’t see the mess you made—earth's temperature rises. Spiritually and physically. It's like basically running a fever because you refuse to pick up after yourselves.”

A third human whispered,
“Dang… we really need to stop sinning.”

Azaziel shrugged.
“Or at least sin more efficiently. I’m flexible.”

Then he leaned in, lowering his voice like a conspiratorial auntie.

“Look. I’m not asking for perfection. I’m asking for balance. Maybe a little kindness. Maybe a little stewardship. Maybe stop lighting metaphorical fires and literal ones at the same time.”

Humans nodded, chastened.

Azaziel clapped his continents together.
“Great talk. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to lie down in the Pacific and try to cool off.”

And he did.
The ocean hissed like a giant frying pan. This guy was burning hot.

🔥

Azaziel finally returned to Dove's house. He had fallen in love with humanity even worse that she had imagined. — Like a cosmic stand‑up comedian doing a set at the end of the world.

He had no intention to return to Heaven.

I tried to get God's attention on the matter.

Complete silence.

The heat kept on cranking up.

Heaven hath no fury like a Woman scorned.

I prepared the underground bunker. It was a lot cooler down there.
