Script:

OFFICE - DAY

Max is sitting at his desk, staring at his computer screen. He looks bored and restless.

MAX: (to himself) Ugh, why is this day dragging on so long? I need something to break up the monotony.

Suddenly, Max's phone rings. He picks it up eagerly.

MAX: Hello?

VOICE ON PHONE: Hi, Max. It's your boss. I need you to go down to the supply room and get some more paper clips.

MAX: Sure thing, boss. I'm on it.

Max stands up and heads to the door, but he trips over his own feet and crashes into a nearby filing cabinet. The sound echoes through the office, and his coworkers turn to look at him.

MAX: (embarrassed) Sorry about that! Just a little clumsy today.Max heads down to the supply room, but he gets lost and ends up in the janitor's closet instead.

MAX: (to himself) Hmm, this doesn't look like the supply room. Oh well, I'm sure they have paper clips in here somewhere.

Max starts rummaging through the cleaning supplies, but he accidentally knocks over a bucket of bleach, which spills all over his shirt and pants.

MAX: (frustrated) Great, just what I needed. A bleach stain on my favorite shirt.

Max heads back to his desk, but he realizes that he left the paper clips in the janitor's closet.

MAX: (to himself) Ugh, I can't catch a break today.

Max heads back to the janitor's closet, but he accidentally locks himself in.

MAX: (panicked) Oh no, I'm trapped! What am I going to do?

Max tries to open the door, but it's stuck. He starts banging on it, hoping someone will hear him.

MAX: Help! Someone, anyone, let me out!

After a few minutes, Max's boss walks by and hears his cries for help.

BOSS: Max, what are you doing in there?

MAX: (embarrassed) Long story, boss. Can you let me out?

The boss unlocks the door, and Max emerges, covered in bleach and looking frazzled.

BOSS: (shaking his head) Max, Max, Max. You never cease to amaze me.

MAX: (smiling) Hey, at least I keep things interesting around here.

The boss chuckles and shakes his head, and Max heads back to his desk, ready for whatever misadventures the day might bring.

Another character for a comedy series is;

The Blind Date

By No Revisions on Unsplash

Premise: Two friends set each other up on blind dates, but things don't go quite as planned.

Characters:

Alex - A shy and awkward young man who has never been on a date before.

Emily - A confident and outgoing young woman who is always up for a good time.

INT. COFFEE SHOP - DAY

By Brooke Cagle on Unsplash

Alex and Emily are sitting across from each other at a small table. They both look nervous, but Emily is trying to lighten the mood.

EMILY: So, Alex, tell me something interesting about yourself.

ALEX: (nervously) Uh, well, I'm really good at math.

EMILY: (smiling) Ooh, a math whiz. I like it.

Suddenly, Emily's phone rings. She checks the caller ID and groans.

EMILY: (to Alex) Sorry, I have to take this. It's my friend, who set us up on this blind date.

Emily steps outside to take the call, and Alex is left alone at the table. He starts to fidget nervously, and accidentally knocks over his water glass, spilling water all over the table.

ALEX: (embarrassed) Sorry about that.

EMILY: (re-entering the coffee shop) What happened?

ALEX: (pointing to the water) I knocked over my glass.

EMILY: (smiling) Oh, don't worry about it. It's just water. Let's start fresh.

As they continue their conversation, Emily suddenly gasps and points behind Alex.

EMILY: (whispering) Oh my god, it's my ex-boyfriend. Quick, pretend to be my boyfriend!

Alex looks confused but plays along. Emily grabs his hand and pulls him close, pretending to be deeply in love.

EMILY: (to Alex) Kiss me!

Alex looks horrified but reluctantly leans in to kiss Emily. Just as their lips touch, Emily's ex-boyfriend walks by and looks at them in disbelief.

EX-BOYFRIEND: (shocked) Emily? What are you doing?

EMILY: (smiling sweetly) Oh, just enjoying a lovely date with my new boyfriend.

The ex-boyfriend looks skeptical, but Emily and Alex play it off. As soon as he's out of sight, they burst out laughing.

ALEX: (laughing) That was insane.

EMILY: (smiling) Yeah, sorry about that. I just couldn't resist messing with him.

ALEX: (grinning) It's all good. At least we'll have a good story to tell.

Emily and Alex continue their date, laughing and joking as they enjoy each other's compay.

I hope you enjoyed this short comedy script featuring two characters! Blind dates can be nerve-wracking, but with a little bit of humor and spontaneity, they can also be funny .

If Max spilled bleach on himself, his body would burn, his clothes would stink and he would probably have to see a doc immediately, or at least bath immediately in cold/warm water. Don't think he could just go back to his desk. Otherwise, I like the bumbling guy story.
