It’s a seasonal reminder that no matter how fit you have been through the year, winter will borrow your diet and replace it with a meal plan consisting of sweet, warm and heavy food choices.

Thick jackets, high boots, woollen scarves and caps with a hot cup of coffee or tea, while taking in the winter sun sounds super cozy and very comforting. Personally, winter truly brings out natural glow and the best styles.

More than such features of surface, the cardinal point must be brought to notice. It’s the seasons saviour, the bonding over the bonfire.

Winter brings festive joy, builds new friendships while offering limited ‘holiday special’ drinks and a bunch of new winter themed movies on Netflix!

No matter what you are doing, whether your mood is low , work has cramped you up or are just feeling lazy, a message on your phone notifying “Bonfire scene at my place tonight!” from a friend or a cousin will instantly bring a tiny smile and put you in a good mood.

A bench, two wooden relaxing chairs, a wooden bed made with hand weave and a table with some snacks and drinks circled around a bonfire pit/ stand. Dim fairy lights glimmering from behind the huge wall hugging weeping willow while the palm trees and seasonal flower pots with glossy leaves stand tall and colourful. Winter fog descending slowly like a white sheet covering the house next door. It’s only because of the bonfire that it would be possible to sit outside in such cold. The golden orange flames illuminating everyone’s faces, warming up the mood and cooling off the tensions induced by some. These are the mellow, relaxing times where you just enjoy the mood, bond with the group and keep the bonfire going for a while.

Plus ones are always welcome and there are two new faces here tonight. One enjoys the quiet while the other can’t stop talking. Deep conversations, new friendships and finding new ways to keep your emotions in check are usual for pairs or groups chilling around the glowing fire pit. Emotional warmth is adorned while enjoying the winter cold.

Be it with your family or those you love, winter without warmth is like a writer without wisdom.

This winter season, connect with your friends, spend time with your family and share moments that will remind you of love, trust and hope. Winter is a beautiful time to bond. Bond with yourself! Wake up on a cold day, slip into your furry robe and slide on your carpet slippers. Prepare yourself a steaming cup of coffee and spend time with yourself. Everything slows down during this time of the year and so should you.Take out time to re-connect and re-discover your wish list and fulfil it. Warm up to yourself and let go of all that’s holding you back. Lay back and rejoice your own company. You might find yourself to be goofy, an introspection will help. Bond with yourself in the day only then in the evening you'll be radiant and warm, inside and out. You will bethen ready to bond with others gathered around the cozy arrangement.

Be intentional while knowing yourself better and building new friendships. Find peace and solace, love and joy and treat yourself with some s’mores and hot chocolate. Tone everything down a notch, sit on your favourite couch after the bonfire session and put on a holiday movie on your television. A splendid night awaits.

A ritual for the season that will be missed once the summer swings back in, is more than just a reason to hangout. It’s a blessing to build new ties. So, bring on your spirit to bond this time around. Spend Christmas and new year’s with family, if you can travel. Be closer to those who matter to you. Take an extra step and show them that you care, you wish to connect and unite. Warmth comes from within, so be kind, be welcoming and don’t let yourself get lost. Winter brings festivity and cheer tags along. It's truly the most beautiful time of the year. Happy holidays from my family to yours!
