Why my daughters are destined for holy hell when they start dating!

"'Cause feelin' good's the only thing I know".

Baqubah, Iraq (circa era 2009).

The subtitle of this piece was taxed from the bridge of the eighth track, "Sergio", on Action Bronson's Sept. 25, 2020 album, "Only For Dolphins". Nuff props due.

Diving into it head first:

Regardless of whether my princesses grow up to be as beautiful as the random trio in the featured image, or they become known as "ugly ducklings", it's all but inevitable that Illie and Kaybear will be frequent guests at the "Heartbreak Hotel" that the late, great Whitney Houston et al. sang about back in the latter part of '98.

Between the myriad of women that I treated like sex objects, to the umpteen uber attractive young ladies that I gaslighted when trying to get them in between the sheets with me...Unadulterated foolishness at its best.

I legit quit counting after roughly forty-two "conquests". Rumor has it that the body count is "the big one" on the official list of the game Twenty-One Questions.

Inner beauty notwithstanding, I'd be hard pressed to remember twenty-one names from that list. And that's only partially due to Socrates' main fear (i.e. record keeping destroying our memories).

Treating women with respect and dignity is the way it's supposed to be, rather than an exception to the rule; especially when you have daughters paying close attention to how you treat lady-folk. Make no mistake, they're paying attention, especially when they're young; and that's assuming that you're man enough to not dip out when there's "trouble in paradise".

Whether or not my girls find an "Ossie & Ruby" kind of love—to reference the 2018 collab by Sho Baraka and Vanessa Hill, "So Many Feelings"—feasibly has a lot less to do with me than I'd like to admit. However, I definitely regret not dropping more gems on them; literally and figuratively.

Whether they go a traditional route of dating heterosexually—and only men that they meet through friends/Fam—or decide to go the populism, new age ways of internet hookups with women that are essentially looking to capitalize on opportunities; I'm hoping and praying that "sins of a father [don't] make [their lives] ten times harder"- JAY-Z referring to a famous scripture on his 2011 collab with Yeezy, "Watch The Throne" (track six, "New Day").

Another quote from the Jiggaman- "I apologize to all the women whom I toyed with your emotions/'Cause I was emotionless..." That one's from the fifth and eponymous track of his 2017 classic album, "4:44".

I can think of no less than a dozen women who might've been delighted to live "happily ever after" with my ugly, foolish, and halitosis having self had my youth not been wasted on my younger self. "I won't say [their] name[s] 'cause [they] married now"; at least some of them are.

To steer this piece from a musical one and back to relationships: The potential for a complete collapse of the dollar, as predicted by the renowned Mr. Peter Schiff, has me wondering if anyone can even remotely foresee what the world—or even America for that matter—will look like by the time my Little Ones start dating. Will folks attempt to befriend and/or become "an item" with them off the strength that my loves will inherit grit and whatnot?

One matter is for certain though: I will not be plotting on any young ladies, as I did in the recent past, anytime soon. As the young folks in my area say, "That's a dead mission!"

Tl;dr- I don't have the best track record in the dating arena. By the will of the celestial, that cycle will end with me.

If it doesn't, despite my fasting and prayers and whatnot, I have no one to blame but myself.
