What is breadcrumbing?

@italysistine. Breadcrumbing is a distinct way of leading someone on. The person communicates frequently enough to keep the other person interested (aka leaving "breadcrumbs") but not enough to form an actual relationship. So ladies there is new pattern in the dating scene, it's called breadcrummbing.

If you thought ghosting was awful, breadcrumbing (as honest as I can be ) is way more painful. Ghosting is an unmistakable message that you believe t "I know he must be busy, "he did say he was playing fortnight with the lads" and you are pretty certain he will get back to you in a few hours or so, and true to form he generally does...

Now ladies there are quite a few guys who breadcrumb without actually knowing they are doing it. It could be for various reasons, but the most famous is essentially down to them not being prepared to commit on one single relationship and being spoilt for choices.

HOW TO SPOT IF YOU ARE BEING BREADCRUMBED

* Won't stick to plans with you

* He will talk about going out to see a film, have something to eat, or even meeting up, but he will never set the date... most times this won't happen

* His replies are confusing

* One thing you can be sure of is he is doing this to keep his options open

* If your guy is turning into an expert of let-downs, view yourself as breadcrumbed.

* His messages amount to nothing, like ''how are you"or 'Whats happening"

* He is reminding you he is still there and still intrigued, however, his message is simply to keep you in the wings and not to let you slip away

* A breadcrumber will send you a message in the evening or late at night saying 'Still up?'.

* He won't show his feelings

* He will keep his emotions from you, and he will try not to respond to questions identified with how he thinks

* He won't let you go completely

* Commenting on social media posts but not engaging in direct communication

A breadcrumber know's when you are beginning to float away, he won't allow that to happen. You may see that he will out of nowhere make an association with you again, when he feels you are slipping away and you are losing interest in him.

At that point the game starts again.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU ARE BEING BREADCRUMBED

* Run! As quick as possible

* The most ideal approach is not to get injured

* Don't fall for his sneaky little stunts

* Realise quickly that he's "Just Not That Into You"

BE STRAIGHTFORWARD WITH YOURSELF

* You already know that if a guy wants to date you he will move paradise and earth to get it going

* I agree it is difficult to admit to yourself that your relationship isn't working, especially as you have invested so much time and energy into him, trust me ladies the best thing to do is be straightforward with yourself, and tell him how you really feel.

TRY NOT TO PLAY AT HIS LEVEL

* Do you really want to see this guy

* At this point this guy is expecting attention from you, so don't give it to him

* He has his reason and he may not be lying to you

* Never come across desperate or needy

At this point...respond to your reality ... and get that guy right out of your hair

HOW TO END HIS MESSY BREADCRUMBS

Breadcrumbing can be harmless and flirtatious but only if both parties are aware it's happening. "In most cases, if a guy is leaving messy breadcrumbs, then they are not really interested in a real relationship with you,"

Make sure you know what you want out of a relationship

You must know your worth

Set healthy boundaries to avoid disappointment and heartbreak.

ITS TIME TO SAY GOODBYE

* If you find that the way he is treating is making you feel anxious or even worst question your self-worth

* Let them know the reason why you’re cutting things off with them and be firm about it

* Once you have decided you have had enough, stick to it, and turn your attention to loving yourself

* Move on and making space for the new and exciting relationship you
