VIDEO: “Mohbad Is Better Than You” - Nigerians Blast Zino Over His Recent Music Snippet

Music influences the world at large; it connects continents, countries, and states together. Music has a lot of benefits, not just physically but also emotionally and mentally. There are so many types of music; I have music for the broken and also music for parties and music for God worship.

Speaking of music, Nigerian musicians have been making a lot of waves around the world. Musicians like Davido and Wizkid have worked tirelessly to put Nigeria on the map and pave the way for young artists.

Nigerian musician, popularly known as Zinoleesky, is not new to controversy. He's been under serious scrutiny lately, especially after the death of his colleague known as Mohbad. A lot of people pointed fingers at his record label boss, Naira Marley, after videos started circulating showing bullying incidents involving Mohbad.

You might also be asking if he's not involved in the case, why is his name being mentioned? There is also a video of Mohbad claiming that Zinoleesky snitched on him. In the video, you can see Mohbad in the hospital bed, crying and saying that he trusted Zinoleesky so much and he disappointed him by snitching on him.

This video angered Nigerians as they seek to find the real cause of Mohbad's death. However, it was confirmed that his record label boss, Naira Marley, is innocent of the accusations and was granted bail together with a guy who was also accused of having a hand in Mohbad's death.

Ever since this case, Zinoleesky has been finding it very hard to get back on his feet, to get back to doing music. He has released so much music and none of them has been able to make waves. This came as a result of people counseling him and his record label owner who they feel have a hand in one or two ways in the early departure of Mohbad.

Recently, Zinoleesky took to his Instagram page to release a snippet of a song he wants to release. However, Nigerians were not having it; they are criticizing him for the song and also some people are comparing him to Mohbad.

So many people criticize him in one way or the other; some are comparing his recent music to Mohbad's songs. Some criticized.

@Emmanuel: Mohbad makes better music than you can ever imagine. You are no longer relevant, so stop it and focus on something else aside from music.

@Yetunde: When are we going to tell this guy the truth? He's losing it already. Imagine hiding under canceling when the truth is that his recent works have nothing to take home.

@Gabrea: If only Mohbad were still alive, we would be getting classic music. No one deserves to hear this trash Zinoleesky makes and call it music.

For me, I think people are just reacting because they don't like him anymore. We all know what Zinoleesky has done for this industry; he's been one of the standard singers for years. I don't think he will just become bad all of a sudden. Maybe people are falling out of his music because of what happened between him and Mohbad, because I listened to the song and I think it's a very good song, his voice and the beat were exceptional.
