This Love Won't Survive On Feeble Skin

The Year Of Introspection

It's a different world out there. Love and its many definitions are thrown about between strangers and lovers who have no clue what the concept of Love is, how to express it and how to keep it. It's important to take a deep dive in the crevises of that inner child inside you, the one who gets angry when someone mistreats you, the one that turns back into the five-year-old whenever your parents are around, the same one who's been screaming into your subconscious, hoping all of their efforts won't go to waste once you take a look in the mirror and realize that sometimes, you do play a part in the misfortunes in your life. That flows into relationships as well.

Throughout my own inner child healing journey, I've learned that the patterns we accumulate during our childhood tend to affect what we allow ourselves to experience during our adult relationships. Yes. I'm talking about all of your mommy and daddy issues. We all have them. Even if you felt like your parents were physically present but emotionally absent, it still counts. Now keep in mind, we are not playing the blame game here. Our parents had their own messed up childhoods and they had no idea how to deal with it either.

Generational trauma is a real thing. We must sort through it to navigate our lives just a little bit easier. It opens up a new world, expands your perception of the people closest to you. Lovers included!

This is why I've compiled a collection of my short stories, the erotic kind of course because it's my favorite, that pulls you into anonymous provocative worlds full of intimate insights into trauma bonds, modern romances, sensual freedom, and more!

Lustful Remnants: A Collection Of Erotic Flash Fiction, Volume 2 exceeds its predecessor in the sense that it dives just a little bit deeper into the minds and backgrounds of the main characters. They are still anonymous. They could be me, or you, or your neighbor next door. Anyone can place themselves in any role, male or female, or whatever it is that you identify as and gain some level of truth and enlightenment from each story.

Remember, the gracious love you give to others is what you should be giving to yourselves! We tend to focus too much on gifting others our presence and energy without taking into consideration how it's affecting our mental health, our self-esteem, and self-worth. Why do we do this you ask? Well, it all goes back to our inner child. All of your triggers and trauma responses are tethered to that small voice inside your head mishandling our responses to things that we should've been taught how to deal with as children. Let's take into account the parents out there who were never ready to be parents and were somehow forced into adulthood too young and too rapidly. Whether it was by choice or happy accidents, there are some parents out there who just don't know how to be the type of parents we require for social, emotional, and monetary support. However, always remember that generational patterns and behaviors tend to be passed down. If your grandparents were strict and emotionally absent, chances are your parents might have adapted your ancestors' traits into their own habits, morals and values and more than likely pass that onto you.

Throughout our inner child healing journeys, we get to reprogram the way we react to things, how we handle them and learn to work with our trauma instead of letting it control us. It's a wonderful notion, but not an easy road to walk upon from my personal experience. If you feel called to do this type of healing, whether it be through books like my latest release, podcasts dedicated to this subject or even reaching out to a therapist, please make sure you have the right support around you during this time.

People who try to stifle your growth are the ones who benefit from you staying the way you are!
