Ever find yourself completely mesmerized by a musician’s natural ear to pick up specific notes? Or how an artist can paint a portrait from their imagination? While these pockets of magical concoctions may seem effortless, there’s much talent and practice that exist beyond the visible eye.

Simply put, creativity, manifestation, and even positive self-talk have a muscle that needs to be practiced daily. Similar to one's fitness journey, once a muscle is exercised, it becomes stronger. It's impossible for our creativity bank to run dry, and we can genuinely manifest everything we thought was never possible. It just comes down to sticking with it, and we do this through practice.

Creativity is a muscle

Nobody will stop you from creating. Do it tonight. Do it tomorrow. That is the way to make your soul grow - Kurt Vonnegut Jr.

Creativity is oftentimes perceived as a magical thing that comes from thin air; a gift that only a select few are blessed with. That is far from the truth. We're all given the same muscles to exercise our versions of creativity. Whether it's art, music, dance, or writing, we all have the tools to bring more color to our current world.

The more you create, the easier it is to think of new ideas. Once the ideas start flowing, inspiration for books, art pieces, songs, and dance manifests naturally. Ideas for new apps, businesses, and products begin to emerge.

The beautiful thing about creativity is that it serves as a domino – books inspire more books, and music inspires new genres and styles. This muscle doesn't only create, but oberserves. Many people fail to realize that creativity gets stronger by giving that muscle attention, and through practice and patience, its possible to have it on autopilot.

Manifestation is a muscle

The Universe works in the 11th hour - Kathrin Zenkina

The mind is the soul's most powerful tool. It can either help you work toward your life's purpose or take you off the path. Therefore, even things that seem effortless – like manifesting – takes practice and trust.

Many of us miss out on manifesting our deepest desires because we fall prey to our lower, egoic nature which tells us that we don't have what it takes to get where we want. We forget about all the possibilities and focus on what's not.

Manifesting is a muscle that needs to be practiced. It starts with our choice of words, and a few key ones are "I'm in the process" and "I'm working on." While manifesting six-figures or a new home may seem out of what you believe is possible, start by saying, "I'm in the process of manifesting six figures" or "I'm working on believing I can manifest an oceanfront property."

Simple baby steps.

Positive-Talk is a muscle

A good friend of mine is the strength and conditioning coach for Hidilyn Diaz, the first Olympian to win a gold medal for the Philippines. In an interview, he was asked who Hidilyn's biggest opponent was. His response:

I was asked who Hidilyn’s biggest rival/opponent was. I responded with, 'Hidilyn’s biggest rival is Hidilyn Diaz.' So the last few months before the Olympics was really mental conditioning and maintaining the strength we’ve worked up to, and you can also say a little bit of faith played a role in our results at the Olympics.

Even for Olympians like Diaz, the biggest opponent is not the competition, but the one-on-one competition with the mind. When you win the inner battle over your mind, you change not only yourself but also the people around you. You become a catalyst for motivation and inspiration because what's inside of us wants to find its way out. Positive talk becomes a muscle when your positive reinforcement outweighs your negative talk.

As they say, "where focus goes, energy flows."
