There is no road in the world for nothing, only the road you do not want to take

People who live in the world, and always spend a lot of time avoiding mistakes, avoiding risks, avoiding "going astray", as if there is only one path in life that is the right one.

But in fact, we are facing the bifurcated road in front of us every day, instead of thinking about finding a good road, we should cherish the gains on the "wrong road", because it is likely that the "wrong road" you think will lead you to the "right road" in life. The "right path".

I know a former colleague, whose position is very difficult to locate, including mountains and seas, cleaning the entire company, helping organize files, contract manufacturers and customers, for the boss to send laundry, and also doing accounting work. Even though the workload was heavy and tedious, his salary was not as good as any of the employees in the company.

Later I found out that he came to this company because he wanted to start as a design assistant and slowly become a designer, but I didn't expect that his boss wanted him to work in multiple jobs, so he had less time for design. But no matter how much trouble he had on his to-do list, almost none of his colleagues ever heard him complain.

Once when we talked privately, I couldn't help but ask him if he didn't feel angry or frustrated that his job content was so different from what he originally thought, and that he didn't have time to learn what he wanted to learn. He said, of course, he had a lot of negative emotions at the beginning, but he thought, "No matter what it is, it's my job to learn it, and there will be a time when it will come in handy, so when he thought about it, he was not so unhappy.

I have always been impressed by what he said. Nowadays, many people complain about why they have to do so much extra work and waste their time, but he thinks that no matter how tedious the work is, as long as "I learn it, it's mine".

Although his work situation was contrary to his dream, he chose to continue to go forward, collecting as many kinds of treasures as possible along the way, although he was not sure whether there was a day to use them, at least he was sure that the energy and harvest belonged to him.

Later I left that company, and only after a while did I hear that he had changed jobs, not only to reach his dream of becoming a designer, but also because he was able to personally communicate with manufacturers and customers in addition to making drawings, and even helped the new company deal with certain financial issues in time because he knew some accounting, and the new boss valued him and gave him more room to play.

Then I remembered what he said, once those "divergent paths" that seemed to have nothing to do with the path of his dream, but brought him the energy to accomplish it. The work that seemed like a waste of time at first was a preparation for this moment.

If he hadn't stuck with it, he might still be a designer, but he might not have had so many other skills that would have made him more desirable to his boss. If we keep the mindset of "doing all these things is just a waste of time", then we will waste a lot of our life. Because no one can tell you what is "waste", the same thing, you can think that it is a waste of time, and likewise, you can tell yourself that it is in the accumulation of experience.

When she was young, Xu Yuting studied art and engineering, worked as a salesperson in an advertising agency, ran as a journalist, and worked as an interior designer ....... None of her careers allowed her to shine, and she finally chose to become a screenwriter. She says her past work experience has given her a lot of nutrients for her scripts: her training in art and engineering has given her a sense of image, her exposure to all kinds of people as a salesperson, and her years as a journalist intern have shown her how to "get to the point of the story" ......

She does not shy away from saying that in the past when she departed from her dream, she also felt confused, bitter, and trapped. But it is also because of those confusing and unpredictable experiences in the past that she has enriched her creativity and written popular plays that have touched the hearts of more people. For her, her past experiences are an accumulation and preparation, not a waste.

But the point is, she didn't give up and kept going. If she had backed out of every "wrong path" she took, she would not have been able to accumulate the nutrients to take herself to the place she wanted to go.

If you are not very lucky and are still on the road of feeling lost, what you need to do is to distance yourself from the negative emotions, because being lost and frustrated will only blind you from seeing the treasures waiting for you to collect on the road, then you will walk this road in vain.

Life is originally a series of accumulations, and these accumulations may not always be in a state of feeling good to reach, more often than not, we are in doubt and confusion, unknowingly accumulate the thickness of life, and finally have the opportunity to know and conscious to reach the original direction.
