Jeff Bezos is one of the wealthiest men on earth. He was born on January 12, 1964, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is an American technology entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist. Bezos was ranked as the world's richest man for a time before Bill Gates surpassed him in October 2018.

Bill Gates is an American business magnate, investor, author, and philanthropist. In 1975, Gates and Paul Allen co-founded Microsoft, which became the world's largest PC software company. During his career at Microsoft, Gates held the positions of chairman and CEO. He has also authored or co-authored several books.

7) Larry Ellison – $58.5 Billion

Larry Ellison is the founder and CEO of Oracle Corporation. He graduated from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in mathematics and became an employee at Ampex. In 1977, he quit his job to become a freelance programmer. In 1979, he founded Software Development Laboratories (SDL). Alice Walton is an American heiress and philanthropist. She is one of four children born to Sam Walton, founder of Walmart and Helen Robson Walton, who served as director of The Walton Family Foundation until her death in 2007. Alice graduated from Trinity University with a degree in economics. She went on to work for her father's company as a buyer at the Walmart division headquarters but left soon after she became pregnant with her first child.
